Yun Chen

Xie Yuansheng was in a meeting when Feng Xinying arrived. This time, the receptionist did not stop her and instead asked her to go up politely. She had been instructed that Feng Xinying should never be stopped from entering the office building premises.

Feng Xinying straightaway headed to his office but was stopped by Yun Chen in the middle. "Where do you think you are going, miss? This is not a freeway that you can use to travel wherever you feel like. This is the office of the CEO of Feng Conglomerate. You are not allowed inside," snapped Yun Chen acerbically.

Other secretaries arrived, and they asked what happened. Yun Chen pointed to them how this lady wanted to enter the CEO's office without an appointment. All of them started laughing. They were afraid of Yun Chen because she was the head secretary and was the only person allowed inside Xie Yuansheng's office. They all wanted to be in her good books. One of them said, "Miss, you better get an appointment from the CEO and then enter this building."

Yun Chen added, "Just because you were able to meet him yesterday, you think you can also meet him today?"

"Please leave this place and stop hampering the daily work," said yet another one.

Yun Chen held Feng Xinying's hand and started dragging her out of the office. Feng Xinying jerked her hand away and shouted at her, "How dare you even think of dragging me like that? Who the hell are you?"

Other secretaries were wide eyed when they saw Yun Chen being treated so badly. Yun Chen couldn't bear this insult and again angrily pulled Feng Xinying's hand, saying, "You better leave this premise, or else, I will call the security and have you thrown out."

While she was dragging her out, a voice from behind roared, "Yun Chen!" Everyone stopped in his or her tracks. They turned back and saw that Xie Yuansheng was standing there with his arm resting on the door of his office and one hand in his pants pocket.

"What are you doing?" he demanded fiercely.

Yun Chen started shivering out of fear. She said, "Sir, this woman is entering your office without permission. I am just throwing her out."

"Who gave you permission to do that? Don't you know that she is my guest?" he snarled at her.

Feng Xinying jerked her hand away from Yun Chen's and walked away from them towards Xie Yuansheng.

Yun Chen was extremely surprised. A pang of jealousy hit her heart, and she felt like stabbing that woman in front of her. All the other secretaries scrammed from the area, immediately leaving Yun Chen alone.

Feng Xinying smugly walked inside with Xie Yuansheng, leaving all of them with gaping mouths. Why was the boss showing so much interest in her?

In the office, Xie Yuansheng offered her to sit down and poured tea for her.

"I am sorry about the way the secretaries are treating you. They still don't know who are…" said Xie Yuansheng apologetically.

Feng Xinying had made up her mind to pester Xie Yuansheng until he would give up his position. She was going to offer him a large number of shares and a position in the board, which she was sure he wouldn't ever deny. After all, this alone would make millions for him annually and would last for generations.

Feng Xinying had her tea and then looked at Xie Yuansheng. She said, "I have a great offer for you. You just can't deny it. It is very lucrative, and you would have to be a fool to deny it."

"Really? Let's hear it."

"I am offering you fifteen percent of the company's shares from my quota and a seat on the board if you will leave the position," she said confidently. There was no way he would decline it. She smiled at her smart solution. She wondered why she didn't tell him this yesterday. Yesterday reminded her of his injury, and she looked at his hand. It was now neatly wrapped in a bandage. Perhaps he had gone to show to a doctor, after all, because the bandage now looked like a job done by a professional.

Xie Yuansheng saw her looking at his hand. He said, "I had to get a stitch there."

Feng Xinying looked down in her lap. She wasn't responsible for anyone getting angry.

"I have a counter proposal for you, Feng Xinying," he said, inviting a surprised look from her.
