Lim Chuen

When he called her from the office to attend the dinner, he remembered that in his previous life, she had worn a lot of makeup for the party. He was so pissed at seeing her that he had gone to the pharmacy to buy cotton to remove it, which in turn had led to a fight between them. So this time he had to tread carefully.

The car stopped in front of the Feng Mansion after twenty minutes. He saw her wearing the same gaudy makeup from inside the car, which infuriated him. However, in order to keep calm, he pretended to sleep. When she stepped inside, he didn't look at her and instead kept his eyes closed.

The driver started, and they started going to the venue of the function. He was tired from the day's work, so he actually drifted off to sleep.

They reached the venue in the next forty-five minutes. Feng Xinying got down, looking elegant in her pale green dress that touched the floor with a plunging neckline. Her diamond jewelry only added to the aura around her.

Xie Yuansheng was in his black suit that he had worn for his office. Since he didn't have the time to change, he just wore that. It was a little crumpled, but he didn't care.

Along with Feng Xinying, he entered the hall of the hotel where the dinner was taking place. They looked beautiful as a couple and attracted a lot of attention.

It was a high-end seven star hotel where the very rich of society held functions. This time it was Lim Chuen, a wealthy businessman who was also on the board of the Feng Conglomerate. He was one of the people who were involved in a hostile takeover of the company.

A very graceful and charming man, Lim Chuen was like a poisonous snake inside. He had many people who were keeping an eye on the Feng Conglomerate and was waiting for one wrong move to take it down. His backup plan was his daughter, Lim Fei Yen, whom he had thought of offering in marriage to Xie Yuansheng if nothing else worked.

When Xie Yuansheng entered the venue, Lim Chuen left the guests he was surrounded with and rushed to him. He saw that a very beautiful woman accompanied Xie Yuansheng. He narrowed his eyes but then immediately smiled and said, "Good evening, my lady. This is the first time I am seeing Xie Yuansheng with a woman."

Feng Xinying smiled and said, "The honor is mine, Mr. Lim."

Feng Xinying knew who Lim Chuen was. She had seen his daughter a number of times in social circles and had insulted her on one or two occasions. She realized that Lim Chuen hadn't recognized her, which worked better for her.

"Xie Yuansheng, how are you, my friend? I have been waiting for you for a long time," he said, giving a bear hug to Xie Yuansheng. "Come on, let me introduce you to someone." Saying that, Lim Chuen dragged Xie Yuansheng away from Feng Xinying, which invited a frown from Xie Yuansheng.

Feng Xinying was happy to be left alone. She didn't want to interact with people and looked for a secluded spot. She found one and slowly ambled towards it. From the corner of her eye, she noticed that Yun Chen had also come. She had found her way to Xie Yuansheng and was standing with him at a close distance. Feng Xinying smirked.

Lim Chuen had taken Xie Yuansheng to the center of the hall where a group of young people were standing. He introduced his daughter, Lim Fei Yen, to him. Lim Fei Yen was a twenty-two-year old girl who was not sharp but knew that with her good looks, she could definitely seduce a man of her liking. However, she already knew what her father wanted, and so she seductively looked at Xie Yuansheng. "Good evening, Xie Yuansheng. I have heard a lot of good things about you from father."

Xie Yuansheng nodded and said, "Thank you."

He looked to his side and found Yun Chen standing very close to him. As soon as he looked, Yun Chen brought her hand forward to coil it around his arm. Xie Yuansheng gave her a cold glare that scared her to the extent that she stepped back, which made Lim Fei Yen laugh softly. Hiding her embarrassment, she coughed a little and said, "CEO Xie, do you want a drink? After all, I am your secretary. I will do as you want." Saying that, she trotted off to the bar where drinks were served. Lim Fei Yen started talking with him, but he gave answers in monosyllables. Soon, Lim Fei Yen became bored and diverted her attention to other friends.

He started scanning the room to find Feng Xinying, who hadn't walked with him. He remembered the pain he had caused her in his previous life and immediately became restless. He wanted to be with her. He took out his phone and called her.

"What?" she asked annoyedly.

"Have you had your dinner?" he asked softly.

"No. We have just arrived at the venue," she replied.

"Where are you?" he asked.

"Somewhere no one will notice me. Why?"

"We are going home in five minutes. Come at the entrance," he said.

Xie Yuansheng walked away from there. Yun Chen had gotten the drink made for him and walked over to offer it to him, but she saw that he was leaving with that woman again. She was so enraged that she wanted to kill her. In her anger, she downed the entire drink that she had brought for Xie Yuansheng in one go and then took another one from the waiter who was passing by.

Later, she found herself naked in the hotel's room, being devoured by someone she didn't even know.
