Almost Exposed

Lu Han felt that his condition was much better now. He didn't expect this Guan Tong to have such a serious set of skills.

"How do you feel now?" Guan Tong asked.

"I'm feeling alright. I just feel a little warm." Lu Han's forehead was sweating.

"This is a normal reaction. Although your body is cold, there is also heat. In a while, you might feel a sense of hot and cold altogether. Bear with it, and it will pass." As long as Lu Han could bear the pain this time, the next acupuncture session would be easier on him.

"Alright." Lu Han grunted. He already felt the hot and cold sensation that Guan Tong warned him about but still answered her. Lu Han felt as if he had fallen into a nightmare. It was as if he had returned to his childhood.

"Mother..." Lu Han vaguely saw the figure of his mother in front of him. He had not dreamed of his mother for a long time. But even though this occurrence happened and he knew it was a dream, he didn't want to wake up.

"Lu Han. Wake up, wake up!" Guan Tong saw that Lu Han had fallen asleep and quickly woke him up. He shouldn't have fallen asleep during the session.

Someone was calling Lu Han with that familiar voice. Could it be her? Lu Han forced open his eyes and vaguely saw Guan Tong's figure. He was in a daze. 

"Is that you?" He slowly reached out his hand. Guan Tong was a little speechless. She didn't know who Lu Han was talking about.

"It's me." Guan Tong tried to wake Lu Han up from a daze. Lu Han came back to his senses and saw Guan Tong's disappointed face. It wasn't that woman. He also remembered to ask Uncle Tang how the investigation was going.

"Oh, it's you." Lu Han woke up and replied to Guan Tong.

"Do you feel better now?" Guan Tong asked. She wondered what was going on with Lu Han's tone. Maybe he thought that her voice was his mother's? 

"I feel a little better now." Lu Han felt the uncomfortable feeling had been alleviated.

Guan Tong heaved a sigh of relief. It was a good thing that Lu Han was relieved.

"Okay, I'm going to pull out the needles." Guan Tong said as she pulled out the first needle.

Lu Han frowned. He thought Guan Tong must've taken pleasure in torturing him as revenge as she pulled the needles out of his skin.

"Madam..." Doctor Han was utterly convinced that he had seen Guan Tong's acupuncture techniques somewhere before, but he wasn't sure where and when he encountered this.

"Is everything alright, Doctor Han? I'm afraid you'll have to lend me these needles for two days." Guan Tong smiled.

"Of course, they're at your disposal, Madam." Doctor Han respectfully replied.

"We'll talk about the other problems later." Guan Tong wondered if Doctor Han had seen through her acupuncture technique? This spelled trouble. It would be better for her to convince the Doctor first.

"Yes, Madam." Doctor Han was being tactful. After sending Doctor Han and Uncle Tang away, Guan Tong closed the door. 

"You owe me a favor this time." Guan Tong stretched lazily as she said to Lu Han. It was not tiring for her to perform acupuncture but quite challenging to concentrate under pressure like that.

"So, have you decided what you wanted from me, from our agreement?" Lu Han asked.

"Well, we'll talk about it when the time comes. Maybe I want tens of millions in cash." Guan Tong jokingly said and made Lu Han scoff. He thought that she was indeed a shallow woman.

"What? Is the life of the Young Master not worth tens of millions?" Guan Tong said in surprise when she saw Lu Han's sarcastic expression. Lu Han facepalmed. He felt the need to rethink why he would keep someone this mouthy under the same roof.

"Shut up." Lu Han said to Guan Tong with stern tones with his cold eyes. 

"Oh." Guan Tong obediently shut her mouth.

 "But I still have something to tell you. Tomorrow morning, I have to get up early to fetch morning dew." Guan Tong said not long after.

"Why do you have such a hobby?" Lu Han tilted his head in surprise. Guan Tong was furious at Lu Han's remark. Why would she need to get up so early if it wasn't for this arrogant man?

"Everything I do is all because of you." Lu Han was stunned by Guan Tong's words. She did it all for him.

"So, what tools do you need?" He asked.

"I don't need any tools. Just let me go out tomorrow morning." Although Guan Tong was allowed to visit the garden, she wasn't allowed anywhere else.

"That's easy. Uncle Tang, come in." Lu Han called out for his butler. 

"Yes, Young Master." Uncle Tang walked in and answered respectfully.

"From now on, there's no need to report where Madam goes." Not only was Uncle Tang stunned by his order, but Guan Tong was, too. Why was Lu Han this easy to deal with today? Perhaps he was feeling unwell?

"Yes, Young Master." Uncle Tang accepted Lu Han's command, and Lu Han dismissed him. "You may leave."

"So, are you satisfied now?" Lu Han raised his eyebrows as he asked Guan Tang.

"Yes, thank you." Guan Tong nodded repeatedly. It was almost too good to be true.

"But you still have to help me heal my illness, or I'll kill you." Lu Han felt that he was a bit too presumptuous with Guan Tong.

"Of course, I'll cure you," Guan Tong said obsequiously. Lu Han was delighted when he heard Guan Tong's words. He was also tired from Guan Tong's acupuncture just now, so he lay on the bed and quickly fell asleep. If Uncle Tang saw this, he would be surprised again. The Young Master never fell asleep that easily no matter how tired he was. Guan Tong turned to look at Lu Han. This man had become more and more incomprehensible each day they spent together.
