With the exception of the sound of the traffic that was filtering through the windows, the interior of Raphael's car was completely silent while he was driving to a place that I had no idea where. I could see him studying me from the corner of my eye as I sat next to him, while I stared out the tinted window.

I kept looking down at my wristwatch, wondering where he would be taking me, and what time he would let me leave for the dinner party. I had already texted Chosen, telling him not to pick me up at the house, and he quickly responded okay, as if he was aware that Raphael would be the one to drive me to the hotel. I was just hoping that his car would get along, and wouldn't be broken until I arrived at the venue.
