‘‘Oh my God!’’ Selena squawked when she finally saw Chosen. Her screams practically sounded as if I had put her on speaker. ‘‘I can’t believe it! Oh, my freaking God! He’s super duper hot!’’

We had just exited the building, and Chosen’s car was parked in front, waiting for me and my team to get in. We decided to have a drink to celebrate the success of our two-week-long project. It was finally over, and I could not have been more relieved.

We made it to the bar, and Selena kept on giggling beside me, telling me how sexy and handsome Chosen was. I shook my head while smiling as my eyes surveyed the spacious hall we were in, filled with people gathered in little groups, chit-chatting.

‘‘Let’s see if tonight is my luck. I’m feeling adventurous right now…’’ Selena commented as she watched Chosen buy us drinks and give our orders to the waitress.
