Strategy

Jason snuck through the forest with the Parthenon party right behind him. Whenever he looked to his left he could see the huge valley spread out right under the sun, while he and the Parthenon party snuck through covered under the dark shade of the woods.

A few minutes later as they were still running over to the small path that would descend into the heart of the valley, they heard the goblin's shrieking their cries of terror and fear echoed through the valley. A few seconds later the familiar howl of a wolf, which was slowly picked up by more and more covered over the goblin shriek, if you listened closely you could also hear young human boys yelling within that mix.

Jason let out a small grin as he continued running through the woods, the fight had started for them. The din of fighting got louder and more intense even as the group got further away from them. Prompting all of them to churn their legs faster.

Jason suddenly glanced at the map and raised his hand, everyone instantly dug their feet into the ground and skid to a stop behind Jason. With a quiet motion, he directed everyone to sneak to the edge of the valley.

When all of them looked down, they could see the massive group of green goblins forming up, in the heart of the valley, more were pouring out of the caves that they had excavated into the sides of the valley. From the huts, goblin leaders emerged standing high above the rest of the goblins.

Boops counted 300 goblins and about 20 goblin leaders. The first responders of the goblins who were currently engaging the wolves numbered around 120 with a goblin leader leading them.

That meant there were around 440 of them. Jason shook his head about to jump into the fray, but the assassin of the Parthenon guild Swifteye placed his hand on Jason's shoulder. His blue eyes communicating a single word.

wait

Jason looked at Swifteye for a few seconds, but then looked back and observed the situation just a bit longer. The goblins that were forming up in the middle of the valley were all surrounding the huts. But right in the middle was this especially large hut, almost 3 times the size of a regular one.

The entire goblin group seemed to be especially rowdy, they were excited and screaming waving their weapons around ready to fight and destroy the last remnants of the wolf clan they had destroyed so long ago.

But three shadows seemed to appear from the large tent in the middle and almost as if a spell was cast on them, the entire crowd of goblins silenced even the leaders, all of them faced the tent and the shadows as soon as they were spotted. Only the sound of fighting between the wolves and the goblins could be heard.

The shadow in front went past the large hut and stood under the sunlight.

Jason could hear Boops quietly swear as they all watched it walkout.

It was huge, needed to bend down in order to get underneath the hut, this goblin, no it was more of an orge, with bulging muscles about the size of a human head, and red war paint covering its shirtless body and face. It wore a leather torse that had numerous skulls hanging off of it.

Two goblin magicians walked behind it.

It carried a red blood-stained axe with both hands, and Jason could feel this deep sense of fear emerge from his body the moment he spotted it.

'that Jason, is a goblin general'

Jason's eyes widened

"general class monsters are around level 100"

Boops didn't answer but Jason knew exactly what that meant.

"it's exponentially stronger than me, even if I'm around 10ish levels behind it,"

'Jason, it's had its second breakthrough, creatures that fight those that have more breakthroughs than them are at a severe disadvantage when fighting.'

"But we can't just leave the wolves to fight this battle on their own"

'then you know what you have to do'

Jason closed his eyes and sighed. He squatted down and looked at the entire goblin nest now completely gathered in front of him.

"haaaa &@%*ing hell"

Jason opened his eyes and turned to the Parthenon party which watched the goblin general emerge with gaping mouths and nervous eyes.

"We talked about our plans already, let's make it happen"

Jason leaped off the cliff focusing on his sword as he fell. Mana flowed throughout his body reinforcing it and then finally ending up in his sword.

(1st form)

The rosy red aura around Jason grew sharper and surrounded the sword that was glowing blue.

Jason pulled his sword to his side and tried another spell

(whirlwind blade)

Great gusts of wind formed at the edge of Jason's sword swirling around at the center point of his sword slowly forming a ball of wind energy that was starting to seemingly solidify into a ball of swirling wind.

As Jason fell down to the valley, he spotted a person dressed in assassin's clothes his hood falling off because of the wind, exposing his white hair and dark blue eyes, two he held short swords held like daggers and he seemed to shift away from human visibility for a second, then reappear a few seconds afterward.

Another figure fell next to Jason, her silver hair billowed in the wind like majestic wings. With he arms spread out and her metal-plated amour reflecting off the sun, she looked like a war maiden descending for battle.

Finally, a shirtless man holding two twin blood-red daggers fell alongside them, laughing as he fell, he swung his axes around in the air almost as if he was play testing them for a few seconds.

Jason smiled for a few seconds, he knew that that the rest of the party were long-ranged classes and were staying on the top of the valley to provide cover fire and long-ranged attacks.

And so with the group of 4 Jason swung his sword letting out the condensed vortex of wind from his blade.

The vortex ball flew out before them straight towards the massive group of goblins.

The goblins were completely unaware of the foes that were falling upon them. That was until a vortex of wind struck the ground, the moment the vortex struck the ground, it lost its ball shape and instead transformed into this huge cone-like one that drew in all of the goblins near it dicing them into tiny pieces. The cone moved around the battlefield like a predator it drew in the fleeing goblins and left havoc wherever it went.

The goblin general turned to one of the goblin magicians behind it. The goblin mage nodded and raised its wand. The violent vortex of wind that had wreaked some havoc on the goblins slowly died down, disappeared into harmless gusts of wind. One of the magicians squinted and looked up shielding its eyes from the bright sun, it pointed at 4 black figures that seemed to decent from the skies.

The goblin magician only had enough time to call out a small warning when the four figures fell to the ground.

A huge dust cloud was kicked up when they fell, and all of the goblins nearby instantly back up from the 4 figures.

The cloud started to dissipate and soon, a black-haired swordsman with a sword that glowed both red and blue stood holding its sword and an elegant silver-haired warrior stood sweeping her hair back as she glared at the goblins around her.

A shirtless bald man waved his two axes in the air and cheered looking at the massive amount of prey. And the last figure, a dark-dressed assassin, who quickly disappeared the moment they landed.

Jason looked down at his feet again, in slight disbelief that they didn't break their legs from the fall. Thank goodness Hild knew the air cushion spell otherwise they all would have been screwed.

The rest of the goblins glared at the 4 figures in front of them, the goblin general brandished its axe and let out a roar pointing it towards the 4.

Jason muttered an annoyed

"here we go again"

and raised his sword, charging into the group of goblins. The goblins seemed to move in slow motion, with one quick slash the goblins in front of him, fell to the floor. Jason could see them fall to the floor in slow motion, so he picked up his feet and used the falling bodies as a platform jumping up and twirling around to slash at one of the leaders at head height.

Jason fell to the ground with a goblin leader's head falling next to him.

Sadly he had no time to celebrate or even look at notifications. Jason quickly leapt up again 3 spears stabbed at the place where he had just left.

Jason landed on the single point where all three of the spears connected, bringing them to the ground.

As the goblins struggled with the sudden weird disarmament of their spears.

A silver-haired swordsman dashed through and with a movement that was reminiscent of flowing water all three heads fell again.

Jason gave a small smile to Juno.

She gave Jason a glittering smile and turned to back to face the horde of goblins slowly encroaching on them.
