Ring....ring.....ring.
Dolly's phone rang, it was the nonofficial phone call.
"Hey babe!" She excitedly picked up the call bouncing on her messy bed.
"Wassup. How are you doing?" Evan casually asked.
"I'm good, you?'
"I'm good too. Just finished designing a website. I'm thinking of coming over." He paused, waiting for her answer.
"Sure, I'll be expecting you" Sitting up, she picked the scattered clothes on her bed.
"See you in ffifteen minutes?" He asked already moving towards the garage to get his car.
"Yea" Dolly continued piling her dirty laundries in the laundry basket.
"I love you"
"I love you too.
Beep as Evan hung up.
The laundry was filled to the bill and she sti had dirty clothes left.
She had been so busy making technologies for protection that she had forgotten the laundries won't do themselves.
She pushed the remaining to an empty space in her wardrobe and closed the door. She cussed silently when the door refused to locked and used all her might, until she finally locked the door.
She was undressing to have a fresh bath when her mum barged in.
"You should really learn how to knock mum."
She dropped the remaining piece of clothing on her and picked a towel, tying it around her chest.
"You should learn how to lock your door. I can't knock on the door when I own the house." Her mum's cheeky reply retorted.
"it's not your house mum. It's_"
"It's my husband's, so it's mine." Her mum cut in. "Or ex-husband's, whatever". She rolled her eyes.
"Anyways, your grandma wants to speak to you." She stretched the phone to Dolly.
"It's a video call."
"Hey granny." Dolly greeted.
"How are you doing Doll?" Her grandma asked as she fondly called her.
"I'm fine. How's Brazil?." She sat on her bed to ease her aching legs.
"Brazil is okay. I love the air and it's surroundings. The people are friendly as well. You should come visit someday." Her grandma explained with much enthusiasm.
"I will. Not anytime soon though. She chuckled along with her grandma.
"I'll be expecting you anyways." Dolly nodded.
"I miss you grandma." She pouted her lips.
"I miss you too baby."
"And you're looking more pretty too." She smiled. "Aunt Phoenix is really taking care of you.
"Oh, she really is, together with her husband, Andrew."
"How's she?" She questioned. "Is she there?"
"She's here.". Looking to her side, her grandma called out to her aunt.
"Phoenix, Dolly is saying hi." She yelled to her."
Aunt Phoenix is her mum's younger sister. She lives in Brazil with her husband and two kids, both girls.
"Dolly!" Her aunt screamed, making Dolly move the phone away from her. She always scream when she's very excited.
She has always been like that. Dolly should've expected that but she had forgotten. It's been long they've spoken to each other.
"You're looking all grown up now. Last time I saw you, you were still in diapers." She exclaimed.
"That's about three months ago aunt." Dolly chuckled. "And I definitely wasn't in diapers."
Trust Aunt Phoenix to always overexaggerate.
Dolly noticed a little head beside her aunt.
"Is that Prudence?" Dolly asked, trying to figure out who the peering face was.
"No, it's Patience, her younger sister."
"Oh. Where is Prudence then."
"Here she is."
Aunt Phoenix switched the camera to the back camera and Prudence scrunched her face, trying to understand why her mum was filming her, biting into her pear.
She turned it to Patience's side and filmed her also. Patience was picking her nose, making Dolly laugh.
Prudence looked six while Patience looked three.
"How old are they?"
"Prudence is five and three months, Patience is three and five months." Her aunt answered.
"They look so much alike." Dolly said. "Apart from their height and difference in their skin colour."
The kids are both tan, save that Patience was a little bit lighter than Prudence.
"We get that a lot." Aunt Phoenix smiled.
"Really?" Dolly rested well on the wall her bed rested on.
"And they are so cute." She added.
"What about your husband?" Dolly enquired.
"He's asleep." She yawned.
"Asleep?"
"Yea. it's 11 pm here."
"Oh. You should go and sleep then. Especially your kids."
"I was preparing them for bed when mum called me."
"Besides, tomorrow isn't a school day for Prudence." She added.
Stephanie took the phone from her daughter.
"Your grandma and I have something to talk about." She shut Dolly up with a look.
"Bye aunt Phoenix, bye granny." She stood up and waved at them, heading to her bathroom as her mother stepped out of her room.

Evan headed to a flower store to get Dolly her favorite flower, rose. She had mentioned it to him when they were having one of their numerous talks.
She had said she loved it because her grandma did, or granny as she calls her.
He climbed down his car and proceeded to enter the store. He checked around until he sighted the roll of rose flowers.
He moved towards the roll of rose flowers, searching for the one he liked the most when a woman came to meet him. She seemed like the store owner.
"Are you getting it for someone?" She asked with a warm smile.
"Yes, my girlfriend." Evan answered, smiling as well.
He loves the friendly vibe he's getting from her.
"Why don't you pick this one?" The woman asked again.
He looked at the one she chose and it suited his taste.
He picked it and paid then left to his car. He dropped it on the passenger's seat and started the car.
After driving for almost five minutes, he noticed a red car had been following him, and with the looks of things, is speeding up to get to him.
He kept driving, increasing his speed a little. He drove through left corners four times, making it a circle to confirm if the car was really after him and really, it was.
He was panicking already but managed to remain calm. He increased his speed, swirling through many cars until he lost sight of the car.
He finally continued his ride until he got to Dolly's house, checking his rear mirror at intervals. He made a mental note to tell Charlie about it as he proceeded to knock on Dolly's door.
