Submissive

Being submissive means being obedient. It means been meekly passive. It means been docile or slavish. Dolly isn't the submissive type. Infact, she's the domineering type but what happens when she comes across the only one who can make her submissive without trying hard? Evan is very timid and subservient. He's the type that gets scared easily. The very opposite of being dominant. How will he feel when he makes someone submit to him, not just anyone but a great leader of a gang. How does he react when he finds out he can make her submit with ease? Is it just a sexual attraction that caused the submission or more? What if it's more? Or less?

Chapter 8✍️

(Do Not Copy Or Repost!)

It was the groom's mother. He recognizes her with the dress she wore. She definitely can't be the one. She wouldn't want her son's day to end in chaos. Maybe she saw the gunman.

"Do you recognize her?" The officer asked.

"Yes I do. She's the groom's mother."

"She might not be the gunman but she might've seen him", the younger officer chipped in.

"Probably", the officer concluded.

Charlie thanked the officer and left, slightly jugging to the car where he left Evan. He might've tried his line but he dropped his phone on his car.

He was disappointed when he saw Evan sleeping, he checked his phone but Evan hadn't called. "He probably was too tired to call", he concluded, starting the car and driving off.

Dolly looked enraged. Like she could kill a lion now. Her room is upside down. Her mirror broken with different things scattered everywhere. She has anger issues and is not even trying to control her anger.

Stephanie rushed into her daughter's room when she heard stuffs crashing. Thinking Dolly was unsafe, she quickly entered the room to see the room upside down. It was almost unrecognizable.

"Baby, what's wrong?" She breathed out fearfully. She knows how dangerous Dolly can be when angry.

"Leave my room mum", Dolly groaned. "I don't want to hurt you."

It's quite obvious she was finding it hard to keep her anger at bay.

"Darling, talk to me", Stephanie went closer to her. She tried to hold Dolly's bruised hand.

"Leave my room now!" Dolly snarled at her. Stephanie scurried out of the room, tears dropping from her eyes.

Stephanie covered her mouth with her hands as she let the tears flow, sliding from the wall to the ground. She thought she taught her child better. She's failed as a mother and it's all her monstrous husband's fault. More tears fell from from her eyes.

"Y'all can award me as the world worst mother", she thought sarcastically, chuckling spitefully.

Dolly breathed in and out to control her anger but failed woefully as she threw yet, another of her phones. She flung it to the wall, inhaling through her mouth. Why she has to fail is what's bothering her. She doesn't even know why she's angry but she's definitely angry at herself. For what reason, she doesn't know.

Her business telephone rang and she watched it ring until it stopped. It rang again and she picked it this time. She waited for the caller to speak first.

"You failed", the loud voice boomed. "He's still alive and now he's left the country."

"All thanks to you." He added sarcastically.

Dolly couldn't speak. She has no words to defend herself and so remained quiet but boiling within.

"Cat got your tongue uhn?" He hissed irritatedly.

"I'm.....", she cleared her throat, "I'm sorry", she stuttered. She had never apologized so this is the first, and definitely the last.

"You gonna return my funds or what?" He questioned.

"Sure." She's really failed big time.

"I'm so disappointed. One of your clients introduced you to me and you just ruined it all", he lamented. "Or did he pay you to ruin it for me?"

"No", Dolly cut in. "It was just a mistake and it definitely won't repeat itself", she rushed her words.

"I don't care if it happens again or not but I do know I'm not giving you a job anymore." He stated. "And I've sent you my account details. I need to see my alert in 5". He hung up, not waiting for a reply.

Dolly's phone rang. It was a message notification. All her phones are linked together and so when she spoils one, the remaining continues to work just fine until she gets another.

She refunded the client's money and even added to her. According to her, it's a failed job pay, one which won't happen again. She sat on her bed, her palm on her face as she sighed loudly. She looked around the room which looks like a garbage house, not exaggerating.

She cringed when she saw the mess she had made. She really will be the one to clean all that. Her favourite computer is spoiled too! She stood up and was about to start cleaning when she remembered her mum.

She had blindly sent her out of her room without thinking twice. She made her mum cry which is something she detests the most. She had promised not to make her cry since her dad's incident and she just broke the promise now. She really needs to learn how to curb her anger.

She rushed out of her room and almost stumbled. Her mum was sitted on the hallway, her back resting on the wall with dried tears on her face. She bent down to her mum's level and tapped her.

Stephanie stirred a bit and rubbed the back of her palm on her eyes. She looked around her surroundings and finally focused on her daughter as she let out a little yawn.

"Mum," Dolly chewed on her lips nervously. "I'm really sorry for how I treated you." She really felt sorry and was looking the same.

Stephanie smiled a little bit as she hugged her daughter. She's very much aware that Dolly wasn't in the right state of mind when she said those words to her.

"It's okay", she breathed out. "Let's go make dinner". She stood up and held her daughter's hands, heading to the kitchen.

Dolly grumbled silently, following her mum. She hates cooking and her mum knows that. She knows how to cook but she finds it very stressful. She rather starve and order a dish than cook. That's how much she hates cooking. She takes it as a punishment for her actions and decided not to complain.

Stephanie chuckled a bit seeing her daughter's sad face. It's a punishment for her actions and she knows Dolly knows but can't complain. She loves cooking with Dolly and seizes every opportunity to.

Realizing they're kinda talking now, she decided to ask her what was wrong.

"Wanna talk about your earlier outbreak?", she questioned casually, preparing the ingredients for their dinner.

"No mum, I really don't wanna". Dolly sighed and went closer to her mum.

"I'm fine now, and that's all that matters", she tried to calm her mum a little bit.

Stephanie knows arguing with Dolly won't do her any good so she decided to take her daughter's words.

"Okay, just be safe".

Dolly smiled and nodded her head. "I will."
