Margie's shock

It suddenly occurred to her to ask for his identification card.

"Your ID please" she requested

"Oh, please pardon my misconduct" he apologized smiling as he puts his right hand into his breast pocket and showed his ID to her.

"Ok" she said in confirmation

She relaxed a bit and took the document from him and started going through it. Suddenly, she spoke up.

"I'm sorry this is the wrong residence" she noticed as she points at the residence number "This is residence 39 but the document is for residence 38"

"Oh, I'm so sorry madam" he apologized again as he collected the document

"It's ok" Margie accepted" This is residence 38" she said pointing at the next compound by the right.

"Ok. Thank you" he appreciated her

"You are welcome, let me see you to the gate" Margie added with relief

"Ok" he said as they walked to the gate.

Margie still didn't lose guard of herself knowing fully well that anything can happen. As they walked, he quickly turned to Margie's shock.

"What?" she quickly asked curiously

"You look gorgeous and principled ma" he venerated smiling

"Thank you" she said smiling back forcefully

"Yeah, he uttered and continued moving

When he stepped out of the gate, she ignored his goodbye wave, shot the gate and leaned on it placing her right hand on her chest in relief. Then, she remembered she scheduled see Molly when she gets home.

"Oh, my God" Margie shouted and ran back into the house. She hurriedly picked up her phone on the sofa she laid on. Immediately, she caught sight of the wall clock and it said 10:53am.

"Wow" she acclaimed as she grabbed her purse and car key and rushed out again

When Molly entered the cell, she carefully took her time to look at everything in the cell. The ash-colored wall, the white-wooden bench by her left, the white bulb that illuminated the cell located in the middle of the ceiling right above her head from where she stood. Every other thing seems plain, then she noticed the locked jail protector behind her.

She turned slowly and carefully observing the edges and rods of the jail protector. Then, she moved closer to it and held two rods with her hands, one on each hand and pushed her face out a bit through the space in between the rods.

Molly held onto the rods firmly and bowed her head, she feels bad for being where she never expected to be in her life. She feels dejected as she closed her eyes and tightened her fist on the rods. As she wallowed in her grief, a strange little soft voice beckoned on her

"Hey"

She opened her eyes immediately and saw a little girl jailed in the cell directly opposite hers.

"Hey, she responded with surprise

"I guess this is your first time in jail?" the little girl inquired

"Yeah, maybe" Molly replied in pretense

"It is obvious" she said and looked away

"Why are you here?" Molly interestedly asked as she knelt down in her cell to the girl's size

"I stabbed my mom with a kitchen knife" she replied bluntly as she turned to Molly

"What? Wow, that bad" Molly concluded truthfully raising her eyebrows

"Yeah, it is bad" she said as she speedily stood up to face Molly with anger. Molly seemed confused because she never expected such bitterness and fury to emanate from a child of that age.

"I did it because I have endured her ruthless attitude towards my daddy for years now" she added as her anger and voice tone increased

"She takes advantage of my daddy because she is older, makes him cook and do the house chores, while she sleeps lazily, cheats on him, fights him confidently because she is bigger, talks to him arrogantly, orders him around and treats him like a baby. All she does is to go out late in the evening and come back early in the morning to bark like a dog" she raged non-stop as Molly signals her to reduce her voice

"She sleeps all day and goes out for her disgusting business in the evening. Young lady if you are in my shoes you will do the same" she narrated with a very high tone furnished with anger and sat down meanly breathing hard

"Please calm down" Molly pleaded "I'm sorry for…" she continued

"What's going on there?" one of the officers shouted from the station's counter

"Nothing, we are good" Molly replied and stayed calm for another question but got none

After a while, she continued her conversation with the little girl

"I'm sorry, you have to go through all that. What's your name?" Molly asked passionately

"Olivia" she replied reluctantly "Beautiful name, how old are you?" Molly asked again as she sat down at the right edge of cell to communicate well with her "Why do you ask like you care?" she questioned aggressively

"How old are you, Olivia?" Molly repeated her question staring at her

"How is that relevant?" she questioned again meanly "Because I want to know" Molly replied smiling

"I am eight years old" she answered in a low tone looking towards another direction "Cool" Molly said "coincidentally, we are the same" Molly asserted looking at her with smiles

"Really" Olivia replied with her eyes wide open as she knelt down in front of her jail protector holding two rods with her hands. "You hate your mom too?" she added inquisitively

"No" Molly replied to her surprise as she turned to her

"Then why are you her?" she enquired

"She believes I killed my brother through a cloning trail" Molly replied

"Did you?" she asked again curiously

"No" Molly answered innocently as Olivia quietly sits down again

"What is cloning by the way?" she asked ignorantly

"Cloning is the process of copying or collecting special genetic qualities of a particular organism to sophisticate another organism and make them have and exhibit the copied qualities of the original organism" Molly explained plainly for her to understand

"Wow, so you copied animal's genes into your brother or what?" she still asked to be clarified

"Yes" Molly affirmed smiling

"Did he behave like an animal?" she asked innocently with her eyes wide open glittering with doubts to be cleared

"Yes" Molly answered smiling boldly

"Wow, that's amazing" she stated in astonishment "But why your brother" she added frowning her face

"I needed a human subject for a cloning trial, he submitted himself to be one, to honor my dad and make my research a success. Unfortunately, he died in the process of the trial due to an uncontrolled medical complication" Molly narrated sadly and bowed her head

"I'm so sorry" Olivia sympathized "But why is your mom so angry to jail you. Basically, it's not your fault" she added as Molly looked at her and smiled

"You are so smart," she flattered as Olivia puffed up her cheeks to smile "Because we didn't tell her about the cloning trial" Molly replied faintly

"Why?" she asked curiously

"My dad died horribly during cloning too, she wouldn't have permitted it if we told her" Molly explained in a low tone as she looked at her

"Wow, so you hate your mom right now?" Olivia inquired concentrating her gaze on Molly.
