Joan was already at the door when Steve suggested that she could spend the night in his room.

"Umm, I don't think that would be a good idea," she said with her back to him.

"And why not?" Steve asked her, not willing to give up the discussion. "What are you running from?" He asked in a teasing voice.

She scoffed and turned around to look at him, "why would I be running?"

"I don't know, you tell me," Steve with his arms folded across his chest.

"I am not running from anything," Joan replied.

"Then spend the night here." He said it like he was daring her.
