With the small talk finally over, Carter immediately brought up a crucial topic that would determine the fate of their survivor group.

She knows that her meeting with Leo earlier was already an act of indirectly affirming any intelligence that they had gathered about them from the other survivors that joined them, and that it wasn't just hearsay they're hearing and that there was indeed a large group of survivors that were mostly made up of mutated humans, and that they're also the top dog within the city before their appearance.
