“You’ll be going back to the academy after lunch?” Gilbert asked.
“Yes,” Lilian replied. “We still have classes tomorrow.”
“Make sure to focus on your studies. Tell that to your brother as well.”
“I will, Grandfather.”
Lilian then glanced at her mother, whose attention was focused on the pancake on her plate.
Isabel didn’t say anything at all after she had greeted them good morning, which made the young lady wonder if her mother was still thinking about the words that Ethan had told them yesterday.
Little did Lilian know that her mother was not at all thinking about the discussion that they had yesterday.
Instead, she was thinking about what had happened inside her daughter’s room, which made her unable to sleep that night.
“Mother, is everything alright?” Lilian asked out of concern.
“I’m fine,” Isabel replied. “I just didn’t get enough sleep last night because I was thinking about a lot of things.”
