The Answer

"Hahaha! Here Mr. Bullet!" Sergeant Quaye said when he noticed the awkward moment between Yebou and Becky.

"Excuse me, sir, I would like to take my leave." Becky immediately said after noticing that the attention had reduced. She was too embarrassed to spend a second there.

"Sure! You may leave. I shall call for you when the need arises." Sergeant Quaye replied when he saw the blushing face of his subordinate.

He wanted to say something. However, when he remembered the awkward moment and the crimson face of his subordinate, he dismissed that thought.

He didn't want to add petrol to the already burning fire.

After Becky had left the room, Sergeant Quaye immediately poured a cup of coffee for Yebou and himself. He raised his glass and said, "Cheers to the heavens for making our paths cross and also to destiny."

Yebou being too familiar with such actions, also raised his glass up and gently tapped it against the Sergeant's glass saying, "Cheers to destiny!"

Sergeant Quaye was stunned when he saw Yebou's actions. He hadn't expected Yebou to know such things because it was one of the things that only those from the cities were familiar with.

How could a kid from a backward village know such things? For a moment, he was confused.

However, remembering the astonishing things the kid had done, he quickly placed that thought at the back of his head.

Yebou on the other hand didn't seem to be bothered by the Sergeant's behavior.

Although he seemed to be a kid judging from his appearance, his soul wasn't something that the Sergeant could compare to in terms of longevity.

He had attended many elite and upper-class social gatherings. Hence, he was too familiar with some actions and codes of the upper class.

After taking a sip of the coffee, Sergeant Quaye placed his glass down as he made his intentions known to Yebou.

" Mr. Bullet, I believe you've thought carefully about what we discussed yesterday night. I would like to know your stance. You might not know but currently, time is not on my side. I would be glad if you could make your decision as soon as possible."

_As I thought._ Yebou said in his head. He was sure the reason the sergeant called for him was to get his final answer.

"Well, I would like to ask a few questions," Yebou stated.

"Go ahead." Sergeant Quaye gestured.

"If I'm coming along with two other people, Their accommodation? Yebou asked.

"Don't worry about that. The police would take care of it." Sergeant Quaye replied. Accommodation for veteran police officers and even recruits wasn't a big deal because the government had built massive bungalows that served as accommodation for the police. Of course, one would need to apply.

"Okay." Getting a positive answer from Sergeant Quaye, Yebou nodded his head in satisfaction. He went on to ask the next question.

"What if they seem not to be interested in joining the police force? Would they have to take care of their accommodation?

"That wouldn't be a problem either as they can live with you." Sergeant Quaye responded.

The bungalows were built for only the police officers. Outsiders could only live there if they had their family member in the police unit staying in one of the bungalows

"They can live with me?" Yebou was momentarily stunned when he heard Sergeant Quaye's response.

In his previous life, accommodation for police officers was introduced later in his mid-forties. It wasn't long before he met his demise.

During those times, civilians were prohibited from stepping foot into the various police bungalows without exception. Not even family members of the various police officers in the bungalows could visit.

But now, he was been told that family members were allowed to visit. Moreover, they can now even stay. How could he not be shocked?
