Can't a father go out with his family again without something ruining it? I would have been happy if it had been just traffic causing the issue, but no, it had to be something much more outrageous – the apocalypse. Imagine what was supposed to be a family outing turning into a fight for survival against zombies in an instant. It doesn't change much, though. I'm still trying to be the best husband and father I can be, and the apocalypse ain't changing that!
Leo and David had teamed up to hunt zombies. Malachi was aware of this, and he figured that whatever situation Leo faced, there was a good chance that his son would go through the same.
If Leo had been close to dying, wasn't it reasonable to think that his teammate who had been with him was also in the same shoes?
Didn't this mean there was a chance David would have also died?
And was Malachi angry?
Yes, he was, but apart from his expression of silent rage he cast at Leo and David, who had guilty expressions on their faces, Malachi did nothing more.
Malachi did not speak, but his expression had spoken a lot more than he would say to the two anyway.
After a few seconds, Malachi released a frustrated groan and threw the crystal heart back at David.
"Go keep it somewhere," Malachi instructed.
Just as Malachi was about to enter his space and sink deeper into his thoughts, David's voice reached his ears.
