Can't a father go out with his family again without something ruining it? I would have been happy if it had been just traffic causing the issue, but no, it had to be something much more outrageous – the apocalypse. Imagine what was supposed to be a family outing turning into a fight for survival against zombies in an instant. It doesn't change much, though. I'm still trying to be the best husband and father I can be, and the apocalypse ain't changing that!
Moments later, under the odd gaze of Malachi, he watched as his wife explained a few things to Leo while handing him several shopping bags that made the young man sweat and a food can.
After exchanging a few more words between themselves, Malachi watched as Leo made his way in a random direction.
"Babe," Anna came towards Malachi. She had a slightly guilty expression on her face.
"What happened?" Malachi inquired.
"Are you angry?" As she carefully spoke, Anna turned to observe her husband's expression.
"Why do you think I am?" Genuinely curious, Malachi inquired. He had an idea of what Anna was talking about, knowing her, but he wanted to hear it from her mouth.
"Are you not angry that I went off and offered that young man a deal with the supplies you took a risk for without your permission?
I figured it would be related to this Malachi thought as he mentally smiled.
