The moment the monster bird showed signs of moving, Malachi and David's bodies flinched.

Even though they had reacted as such, among the two of them, it was only Malachi who was able to move. David could only shake or flinch; moving his legs was a whole level of movement in his current state, even though danger was right in front of him.

He was that exhausted.
