Chapter 59: Before The Monster Tide (2)
Beelzebub and Gloria left the shadows of the forest, appearing by the dead bodies of the imperial troops.
"A son of concubine… most of them end up like Isidor, don't they?" Beelzebub squatted before the corpse and grabbed the edges of the golden armor, trying to take it off.
Gloria helped him while weighing in her thoughts. "If you are born talentless in a royal circle, you either work harder than anyone else or enjoy your status. A few understand their position and join the ranks of other nobles, leveraging their royal status when push comes to shove."
"Indeed. We can't waste our opportunities… we don't decide in what family we are born, but it's up to us to decide what we want to become." Beelzebub commented with hints of his emotions slipping into his voice.
Gloria remained silent and supported her master.
After Isidor's armor left his dead body, it was time for chausses and the rest.
