Going To The Land Of Waves.

[In the Hokage's office]

Hiruzen: "So, Tendo, what you're saying is accompanying Team 7 on this mission will allow you to expand your jutsu arsenal and also add to your experience huh? I hope you understand what the risks are of letting you go outside of the village like this entails."

Tendo: "Yes. I understand."

Hiruzen: "The Byakugan is one of the three great Dojutsu. Those eyes are highly coveted among the other nations and if they try to send a squad of Ninja to capture you it might compromise the mission and cause unnecessary hardships for the team. Do you understand what I mean? You have to be on guard at all times and you must stay close to Kakashi. Sending you on this mission is risky enough as it is so you need to be ready. Then there's the issue with the Curse Mark and Orochimaru. What-"

Tendo: "Dont worry. I understand."

Hiruzen scratched his head in worry as he was going to say something else but in the end, seeing the non-worried look that the boy had on his face, he decided to let it be. He trusted Kakashi enough to protect Tendo so he knew that he didn't have to worry too much about the boy's safety.

Hiruzen: "Are you already prepared for the mission? Team 7 will be here soon and the client is already waiting in the building.

Tendo: "I'm ready."

Tendo was wearing a long-sleeved black high collar ninja top that covered and hid his entire arm completely as he preferred to not show the enemy what's in his hands. He had also chosen to do so because covering the snake summoning seals around his wrists will be critical in surprising the enemy in battle. His pants were also black and they were long, extending over the black ninja sandals on his feet. In his sleeves were multiple hidden senbon so that at a moments notice he could strike an attack. His headband was wrapped around his right leg as putting on his arm this time might obstruct the speed of his hidden weapons.

A while later, the door opened and multiple people walked in. Iruka came in, followed by Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Kakashi, and lastly, the client Tazuna. They were already at the Hokage's office earlier because Naruto wanted better missions so now that they had gotten a C Rank escort mission they had to get ready for it. Now that they were back, they had learned that they had an extra person tagging along for the mission that wasn't in Team 7.

Naruto: "Hey old man! Who is the scrub you want tagging along with- It's you!! That's that Tenyo guy that sits at the back of the class all day not doing anything and somehow he tops the class every time! Agghhh I hate him so much!"

Sakura: "Naruto, his name is Tendo, and is sure he does more than you do, stupid."

Sasuke: "...."

Hiruzen: "...I see you're already acquainted with each other. This young man is a Genin, known as Tendo Hyuga. I'm sure all of you have heard of him before. He will be joining on this escort mission to gain experience in the field, just as you're doing. Please, treat him like he's apart of the team. Kakashi, we spoke already so please take care of him.

Turning to Tendo now, Hiruzen continued:

Hiruzen: "That older gentleman over there is our client, Tazuna the Bridge Builder. Tendo, that will be the man that you will take part in guarding. There shouldn't be any shinobi encounters on this mission but always keep your guard up, just in case. That goes for all of you in this room. Now that everyone's been introduced, you can leave and start the mission. Be safe!"

A while later in front of the gates of the Hidden Leaf Village, six figures could be seen leaving as they walked on the road toward the Land Of Waves. A purple-haired woman could be seen waving someone off with tears in her eyes.

Anko: "Tendo! Make your sensei proud and make those Team 7 losers bite the dust! Escort the client to the best of your ability so that you could be given higher ranking missions!"

Naruto: "Hey, ugly! Who the hell are you calling losers!"

Tendo had no words as he just nodded and turned his back, leaving the village with Team 7. A familiar feeling was already creeping up on him as they continued walking, it felt like he was on a mission again from his past life. The feeling was welcome as he hadn't gone on any missions like this one that required fighting in 12 years. Thinking that to himself, he couldn't even believe that it was so long that he hadn't been on a mission.

As Tendo was in his thoughts, they passed a weird puddle in the middle of the road, and Kakashi couldn't help but take a glance at it.

Kakashi: 'Hm, a puddle in the road when it hasn't even rained for the day? Interesting.'

Tendo knew what this meant and already had his weapons ready for battle.

Tendo: "And now it begins."
