As the latter half of the night descended, the night sky grew eerily silent.

Sophia Cloud took a while to come to her senses—it was a call from Leo Harrell.

"Sophia, where are you? Why aren't you back home yet?"

Upon hearing this, Sophia Cloud could no longer contain her tears, and they fell like pearls off a broken string.

She forced herself to take deep breaths, and after quite a struggle, she managed a weak reply, "It's nothing, just a last-minute social engagement, it's about to wrap up, I'll be right back!"
