Third Person PoV
An angel descended down to the harbour, a helicopter just behind her. Kanon could only look sadly at the destroyed place.
The dock was razed to the ground, dead bodies lying all around, their dress suggesting that they were a part of the island guard.
Kanon, while being engrossed in her grief, didn't miss the large beam of death fired towards her.
She nimbly moved out of the way and glared at the large red liquid, what she did miss was a small part of that liquid going and sliding into the ocean.
Kanon was a very kind girl, even though she didn't know any of the people here, she was feeling sad for them, she had already vowed to deal with the cause of this.
"Sorry, everyone, this happened because I was unable to kill him earlier, but this time I won't."
"Affirmative." Astarte said, ready with her familiar.
A man with a cane walked from behind one of the containers and smiled at the two girls.
"Now at last the lamb is finally up for slaughter, I will sacrifice you and have the wiseman resurrect, then he will grant me my body!"
Kanon only shook her head at that and began to speak.
"I feel sorry for you, don't you see how you are being deceived? Don't you remember what happened at the Monastery five years ago, when you tried to kill everyone?"
"What, what are you blabbering about, Kanase Kanon! I will have my human body back!"
The now half mad alchemist rushed towards Kanon with his arm-turned-sword and multiple copies of himself.
But each one of those copies was destroyed by Kanon's holy energy teams before they got near her.
While Kanon was fighting Amatsuka, Astarte was busy handling the red liquid metal, it was surprisingly easy.
Dodge the beam ans absorb the magic running it, in a few moments, the harbour was filled with red dried flakes.
...
"You still can't understand? You were never human to begin with, and in a foolish dream to become one, you killed so many people? I feel sorry for you, but I can't let you keep on killing more innocent people, I will end your pitiful life, Amatsuka-san."
The kind angel, who didn't even think of hurting a fly till now, for her love and kindness is going to kill a living being.
Some of this was due to being around Kojou, who didn't give much value to the lives of his enemies and the changes in her ideology due to becoming a pseudo-vampire.
"Don't lie to me, you stupid bitch!"
"Then where is wiseman?" Kanon posed a question to the mad man.
"I was wondering what you would ask, here-!?"
He took out a silver skull from the breast pocket of his suit and was bewildered.
"Why is it silver? It's supposed to be gold? Why? Why? WHY?"
Amatsuka screamed at the top of his lungs, getting the sole reason of his life to be revealed as fake was horrible to anyone, even more so for someone like Amatsuka, who was strongly attached to his human appearance.
"No, he won't, even if I am a Homunculus, I can still become human, wiseman's blood can do that!"
He continued ranting in his delusions.
"Yes, it's all a trap by you to crush me, I won't fall for it, Kanase Kanon, I will kill you."
The albino angel, dressed as a Nun, only shook her head, as if disappointed in his reaction.
"Come, Al-Nasl-Minium."
The bicorn once again neighed, but this time it covered the area surrounding the alchemist in a vibrating barrier.
Coupled with the extra dimensional barrier provided by Kanon, Amatsuka was unable to do anything, except wallow in despair.
The hulking familiar of Astarte reached near the man who was now completely broken and given up on life.
She had just finished the last major blob of wiseman's blood.
The white monstrosity's hand, covered in a divine oscillations barrier, passed through the barriers erected by Kanon and clenched the neck of the smaller man.
"Urgk-!?"
Slowly, the magic power of the homunculus named Amatsuka Kou was absorbed by Rhododactylus, and all that remained of him was some grey flakes to determine his existence.
"Mission Complete."
Astarte said in a monotone voice, as if killing held nothing on her mind. But that was not the case for Kanon.
Even though she was a pseudo-vampire now, her original personality was still the dominant, her rational mind understood the need for killing Amatsuka Kou, but her heart didn't.
But there wasn't much time for her to ponder on it as Yaze crawled out of a rubble, someplace away from Astarte.
"Don't shoot-!? What happened? Why is Kanon-chan an angel and Astarte-chan here?"
The Hyper Adapter said in a confusing tone, it seemed his mind was still at the point where the wiseman's blood was killing the island guard.
Astarte explained the situation in short and then told Kanon.
"Death of the individual, Amatsuka Kou confirmed. But the specimen Wiseman's blood is still uncaptured, how to proceed, please ask from the Master."
"I will." Kanon said, her tone still very meek, but she also knew she can't stop now, or else many people will suffer again due to her soft heart.
But it seems that it would be futile, as the entire island shook from the roar of a lion. Thunderstorms rose in the sea around the island and multiple power failures happened in a short span of the roar.
Thunder crackled in the sky, golden lightning arced in the atmosphere. It was as if the entire island was being electrocuted, the base of the giga floats were charged by that, making the island unstable.
"That power? Did something happen to Onii-san?" Kanon said worried about Kojou.
"Cannot answer the question, insufficient data." Astarte answered, or tried to.
"Whoever caused that is really in deep shit." Yaze said, sweating from seeing the power of a single familiar of Kojou.
"Do you know what happened? Yaze-san?"
"No, I don't. But I do know something or someone made Kojou really angry, for him to do this. I pray for the person who did this."
But all of a sudden the huge flux of power vanished, the storms died down, power was back, and the island stabilised.
It was almost as if all of that didn't happen.
"What now?"
"It would seem, the Master was able to regain control over his familiar."
"Let's go, Astarte-san, we need to find Onii-san and tell him about the wiseman's blood."
But before the two of them could do that. The red orb from before jumped out from Kanon's pocket and landed near a pool of the remaining wiseman's blood, or what was left after the angel and homunculus were done with it.
The silver metal gradually gathered around and took the form of a small doll, the amount was too low to become any bigger than that.
The appearance of a beautiful Eastern doll about thirty centimetres tall, was able to be formed out of the liquid metal.
"Where am I?"
"What the fuck?" Yaze screamed, finally having enough of the bullshit going on.
But Kanon didn't think much and took the little person and told Astarte to follow her as she flew towards the person barrier, on a low height and slowly compared to before.
"Please bear it for a while, I will try to explain the situation as we move."
Kanon said to the doll in her hands.
"It's fine, young one. I have an understanding of what is happening, I wasn't completely cut off from the real world. Let me tell you about the wiseman's blood."
…
While the fight between the alchemist and angel was going on.
Asagi was finally up and was ready to go back home, hopefully whatever shitstorm was going on the island would be done by now, of course by being handled by Kojou.
She had already checked and found out that the spatial distortion is dealt with, hence she was pretty confident.
But alas, how can life be so easy?
Asagi was talking with Mogwai who was hell bent on trying to get her to stay in her office in the Keystone gate, for god knows what reason.
"Ojou-chan, I have a bad feeling about today, why don't you stay back? We still don't know what the Library wants."
"Listen, Mogwai, I know you are a flawless AI, but you still are an AI, so don't give me these feeling lines, I will spend the night with Kojou and that is final."
Before shutting off the AI and groaning.
"Where is that stupid boyfriend of mine?"
Just then she felt the island shake and experienced the power of Regulus-Aurum.
"What is that guy doing?"
Asagi could only say that and try not to fall at the miniature earthquake that hit an island, which isn't supposed to have earthquakes.
…
A little while back.
"Is that a schneewalzer? Well it wouldn't make a difference."
Yuuma said before teleporting away and appeared at the ceiling of the throne room.
With a smack from the sword of her guardian, Le Bleu, the roof fell down. Due to the instantaneous teleportation, Yukina was unable to react and save Natsuki-chan.
But Kojou was, although he did feel a rock hit his head, managed to get the sleeping witch out of harm's way.
Yuuma looked at him in shock, seeing that he would put a frail body like hers on the line just to save his teacher.
But she didn't have any chance to lament as Yukina was finally locked in.
"I, Sword Shaman of the High God and priestess of the Lion, beseech thee. Dawn light of exorcism, spirit wolf of snowy mist, grant me the divine might of thy steel, that I may smite a hundred evil spirits!"
The sword shaman ran towards the knight, and swatted its sword like a toy and with a single stab it was dispelled.
Before Yuuma could process what had suddenly happened, her body shook, the damage taken by Kojou was finally hitting her.
By then she could only watch in slow motion thanks to Kojou's kinetic vision as the famed Schneewalzer of the LKO came near her chest as she was unable to do anything.
But the magic was not dispelled, Yukina stopped just before piercing Kojou's body in the chest.
"You are a kind girl being deceived by him, aren't you?"
Yuuma said and Yukina lost her composure for a moment, but Yuuma was once again shocked by Kojou appearing behind Yukina with his or more correctly her legs raised.
And with a solid kick that pushed the tip of the spear into 'her' chest, from there it moved in like butter, until it came out of the other side.
And darkness enveloped both Yuuma and Kojou.
…
Pain. Scorching Pain, assaulted Kojou just as he regained his senses. For someone who was able to remain in his senses even when his chest was drilled by lightning, this pain was making his mind go white.
And then he managed to know.
'Yes, I got stabbed by the schneewalzer. So this is its power? To make even the immortal lose their ability to think with pain? Thank goodness, it didn't kill me.'
By then the spear was yanked out of him and he stumbled backwards but managed to stop himself from falling, although it was difficult to speak, see or even hear, even his magical sense was disturbed.
"So I guess it's over?" Kojou said, a distinct waver in his voice not heard by either Yuuma or Yukina before.
"Yes, it is senpai."
But it was then, that Kojou felt a disturbance in the magical power and felt where it was going.
"Mesarthim-!?"
But the word didn't come out more than that, his voice was stuck, he choked on his own blood and his body was too busy healing itself to leave enough power to summon a familiar.
Yuuma certainly didn't leave any extra for him to use.
Le Bleu manifested behind Yuuma and thrusted his sword towards her back, piercing it, bit it didn't come out of the other end, as it was warped to stab Natsuki-chan in the stomach.
The unconscious witch of the void couldn't do anything and was left to bleed to death, an ethereal voice came from the blue knight.
"To think you wouldn't foresee this, I seem to have overestimated your wariness, Minamiya Natsuki.'
And the familiar vanished, leaving two wounded persons lying for their death.
Seeing his English teacher fall to her death in front of his eyes as the first thing after his vision returned was enough for Kojou to disregard his own health and rush towards the witch.
He managed to hold her before falling and saw her bleeding, and Kojou raged. His blood soaked his clothes and continued to bleed, as his power was solely directed to his rage.
"You fucking bitch!"
And the Lion roared, the full might of a beast vassal of the 4th Primogenitor fell on the island.
And it was as terrifying as said in the legends. A little more and the entire island would sink.
Before Kojou could sink the island in his anger, the body of Natsuki-chan vanished from his grasp, bringing him back to his senses, and he managed to call back his familiar.
But promptly after that, he was warped outside of the prison barrier, alongwith Yuuma, where he came face to face with the one person he didn't want to meet right now.
Dimitrie Vatler was standing in front of him, with his trademark annoying grin on his face as he said in a gleeful voice.
"Sagara!"
…
And it was just at that moment, that Asagi felt a tug on her skirt and looked down to see a miniature version of Natsuki-chan looking at her with sunny blue eyes and saying innocently.
"Mama!"
'What the Hell?' Asagi screamed in her mind.
