Meeting the Siblings

Akane was at home again, leaning against the showcase with her new trophy in it, she relished the feeling that she swiped the country level competition, she liked the feeling of the defeat of her opponents, it felt great for her, seeing her opponents breakdown, crying in defeat, not being able to do anything, because a four year old blind girl defeated them. Oh, did she loved the sound of their defeated opponent, or that was what she would have it like to be.

Seeing her opponents breaking down made Akane happy, but it felt vile, empty, it didn't elate Akane the way she wanted, it didn't feel satisfying, it did for a moment, but afterwards she would feel empty. And the problem was, that she related to her opponents, the moment they felt sad, she kind of starts to feel sad too, she didn't like it, she wants to show them that she is better than them, but she can't savor that feeling when she feels the sadness of her opponents!

So now she was here, sitting in front of the showcase, with her new golden cup in it, polished so that it shined, eating woodruff, no 'Waldmeister' taste Häagen Dazs, she didn't like the English for 'Waldmeister' it sounded so crappy, I am drinking 'woodruff' tea, who would like to say that? 'Forest master' sounded a lot better, so she was using the German word for it.

That was the situation, Akane sat in front of her trophy on the floor, trying to sort her feelings out while eating Waldmeister Häagen Dazs, she truly felt like a child in the moment.

"Akane, do you want to pout the rest of the day in front of the showcase, or do you want to go to the mall with me?"

"Didn't you have to win an important case or something?"

Her mother smiled at her with a smug grin.

"Already won it."

"Then why are we still waiting?"

And so, the mother daughter duo went on their way to the mall.

Akane calmly walked through the mall, still thinking about her feelings and the mysterious song that was connected to them, she wondered if these two things were connected somehow, and if she would be able to create that song easier if someone was there with her.

"Akane?"

Her thoughts were interrupted and she turned her head rapidly to 'look' at her mother, as she did that, she heard a sigh of relief from her.

"I was almost worried you know, that you could go in that state while walking, imagine how dangerous that would be, but it was just you thinking deeply about something, tell me, my cinnamon roll, what is currently worrying you?"

She thought about that for a moment before she shook her head.

"Sorry mommy, but I think I want to think about that for myself."

Her mother nodded, patting her head.

"You know that I am always there for you, right?"

The girl nodded back at her mother, hugging her, Fumio hugged he daughter back.

Then they heard a whistle.

"Wow, what a touching scene, it's almost so sweet that I could vomit sugar, don't you think you two are doing quite the scene here, don't you two thinks that you are getting quite the attention here?"

The girl tilted her head at the Rabbit Hero.

"Do we, for me it sounds like the people are still walking past us."

"Geez, echolocation really can be useful, do you think I can learn it, I mean I have big ears."

The girl shook her head dejectedly.

"No I don't think so, I think the only reason humans can learn it, is because they desperately need an ability to see, trying to replace the most used sense with one of the others, so I don't see you learning it anytime, unless you go to drastic length and start doing things only blindfolded."

The Rabbit Hero seriously contemplated her options for a while, before she shook her head.

"Nope, I think I stay with my sight. Anyways Fumio long time no see! Geez, I only look away from your daughter for a while and the next time I see her, she is Japans pianist champion, and that was from the day I met her and she got her taste in music to today again, your kid must be crazy talented."

"Haha, yes Rumi, I guess my daughter is just trying her best while being blind."

Hearing this Rumis' mood instantly fell.

"Don't pity me aunty Rumi! I might be blind, but I am sure I wouldn't be here now with you and mommy! I might be blind now, but that doesn't mean that the memories I made along my way till now aren't precious to me. Or do you think I can easily trade these memories with a set where I could see?"

Rumi was surprised at the girl's words, Akane was a girl that never gave up, she was a girl with a burning flame inside her soul that tried to prove herself in the harsh world, just like she was as she was still a child.

"Sorry, sorry, it's just kind of a big handicap to not think about it. But I am sure you will overcome that easily, just as easy as defeating these second-rate pianists, right?"

"Damn, right you are!"

Fumio smiled at the sight of these two, they really understood each other well.

The three of them spend time in the mall for a while, until it closed.

"So, this might be our third meeting just now, you know not counting the time in middle- and high school where we barely interacted with each other, so I wondered if I could visit you? Just if you are comfortable with me at your house of course."

Fumio was surprised about how forward Rumi was, she thought about it for a moment, finally reaching the conclusion that there was no reason to refuse her.

"Well I have no reason to refuse you, and my daughter likes you, so I think I can make an exception for today."

Rumi was happy hearing this and happily followed them to their home.

After a short walk they reached the Seigi Residence, Fumio was currently telling Rumi the house rules.

"And most importantly, never ever! MESS! WITH! MY! DOCUMENTS! Understood?"

Rumi nodded very fast at the woman's words. She didn't want to make her angry.

"Well then, welcome to our humble abode..."

Fumio was opening the door and her pulse immediately shot up to 180.

"Mommy, what is going on..."

Akane looked inside the house, hearing chaos, just chaos, Akane felt tilted.

"Jo, Fumio! I invited myself over to your house, hope you don't mind me making a mess, hehe."

The eldest sister was currently squatting on the floor, apparently fixing the defect the toaster, nope she didn't just fix it, she damn well modified that thing.

"Esteemed middle sister, I can't seem to find my tasty cold treat, would you please be so kind and show me the way to the strawberry Häagen Dazs?"

And the youngest sister was currently elegantly maneuvering around the house, turning nook and cranny to find her precious strawberry ice cream.

It doesn't have to be said that the house was a total mess now, right?

Rumi didn't know what to say in this moment and looked at the mother daughter pair worriedly.

"Fumio? Akane? Are you two all right, should I go back to my home?"

In this moment something snapped in both of them.

Fumio, swiped the hair back that was hiding her left eye, revealing said eye that had a dangerous glow to it.

Akane actually opened her eyes revealing two glowing red eyes that perfectly showed how triggered the normally calm girl was.

After a big session of scolding from Fumio and a rather agitated Akane stress-cleaning the entire house, the two twin sisters got away with kneeling on the cold hard floor, with signs hanging from their neck saying 'I am the irresponsible younger/older sister of the family'.

"Look at what you have done to my sweet Akane. She is now stress-cleaning the house because of you, what do you have to say in your defense?"

The two sisters looked at each other, deciding on their next plan of action. That was jumping up to their middle sister, hugging her around the neck and asking for forgiveness while crying.

It didn't really work well.

"So, you two broke into my house, made a mess out of me and my daughters' stuff, destroying, completely obliterating my toaster, and all you can do is ask for forgiveness? Oh, what should I do with my two idiot sisters?"

"The toaster isn't obliterated, I modified it."

"Come again?"

The eldest sister wanted to say something, but then an explosion was heard, followed by a cursing Akane. (Holy mother in heaven why did teh damn toaster explode upon my touch!)

This silenced her.

"Any last words?"

"Fumio! What happened to my sweet sister that always spend time with me? You can't have forgotten that, right? I really missed you and just wanted to spend time with you again, but you just rudely pushed me away without giving me a chance, isn't that unfair for me?"

"I still remember the fond days where middle sister would dote on me and protect me from biggest sister cruel experiment. I just wanted to visit you again to pay my respects to you, but then you just turned the communication device off, did middle sister come to hate me? Does middle sister not love me anymore? I'll do anything for you to like me again! Do you want money? Fame? Authority? My body?!"

Fumio cracked upon her two sisters' words, she just couldn't hate them, she loved them over everything, they were her twin sister after all, but she stayed hard.

"Silence!"

"Che, using your quirk, how unfair."

"Using your quirk to gain an advantage over me, how shrewd."

"Mommy, I think we scolded them enough already, I wanted to meet my aunts too, after all they are family too, even though their first impression on me was bad."

Seeing the daughter, the two sisters saw a new ray of hope.

"Yes! Akane is right, we are family and as such we should forgive each other, we didn't do anything bad after all. Akane what do you want aunty to do? As long as I can do it, I will do it!"

"Hai, hai! You should listen to our new member of the family, even though she had to clean the residence from the filth we brought in, she still chose to forgive us. Little Akane, do you want aunty to do you a favor, I'll do it gladly for you."

Fumio was angry for her sisters to use her daughter to get to her, she wanted to scold them again, but Akane made a sign that she should let her deal with things.

"There is one request that I have."

"What is it? What is it?"

"I'll do it for you!"

"Let me touch your bodies."

Silence, deafening silence, none of the four adults knew how they should react to that statement.

On the way to the Seigi Residence:

"And little one, what is your opinion on heroes?"

"Waste of space, hypocrites, pathological liars, waste of space, not worth their payment..."

Rumi sweat dropped at these words, it was kind of concerning how many 'clean' insults she could throw at the title hero.

"Every hero? Including me?"

"What? Of course not! It's just that it is always advertised how heroes always help people in need, save them when saving is required, etc. But at the end these heroes are just human too, getting corrupted, faking achievements, doing both, quirk marriage, hesitating when they have a hostage, cooperating with villains, etc., etc. That are just a few of many examples that happen and that is not the worst, the worst is not actually helping people in need, did you ever see heroes actively helping in the poorer districts of the city, in the slums all around the world? Heck, I wouldn't be saved if mommy didn't find me on that day. Society relies too much on heroes and this isn't a good thing."

"Well ok, heroes don't fulfill their promises, and are selfish. Any heroes you like or find ok?"

The girl thought about it for a moment.

"Well, All Might is a shining example of how a true hero should be, but the problem is that he is the symbol of peace, what happens to society if he isn't there anymore? Mirko, she might be a bit hot headed, but she has a set of ideals that she follows, without caring what the others think, she is a woman of integrity, which is respectable. Midnight is fine too, but she is a bit not safe for work, she does what she wants and that with confidence, but did she had to wear that attire? Well, and maybe Lotus, she fulfilled her promise, I guess."

Rumi nodded at her words, the girl really was disappointed in humanity, she just named for heroes and most of the time her reasoning wasn't because they help people, but because they held their words, the girl didn't like societies current form, but accepted it, because it is already too late to turn back.

"Aww, thanks for the compliment, me a woman of integrity? I like it, any other good traits you can say about me?"

"You are cute."

Rumi stopped walking, her cheeks got red and she started to kneel to hide her embarrassment.

That girl is cheeky.
