I am not who you think I am!

They were on their way back to the palace at past midnight. Rex wasn't staying in the palace so, they were going back there to drop Rose then, he'd go back to one of the houses he bought which was on the other side of the city.

There wasn't anything exactly special about the dinner. It was just a simple dinner in an exquisite restaurant while everyone was staring at their princess with the same question running through all their minds. Why is our princess dressed this way?

The ride back home was completely silent. Rose was texting Mira on her phone while Rex was doing something on his tablet. Damon was being his usual self, staring into the distance, probably solving some next to impossible to solve equation in his mind.

About an hour to the end of the ride, Rose rembered that's she wanted to buy a pregnancy kit. Thankfully, there was a pharmacy not too far from where they were. "Rex?"

"Huh?"

"Can we please stop by a pharmacy? "

"It's actually kinda late and -"

" Please" She was being very persuasive. From her tone to her face, Rex couldn't say no to that face. "Fine, but to make sure you're safe, I'll follow you to get what you want"

"Thnx. There's a pharmacy down this street"

At the pharmacy...

"I'd like to buy one pregnancy test kit please" said Rose.

"P-p-regnan-n-t?!" Rex whispered under his breath.

While the pharmacist went to grab the pregnancy kit, Rose decided to see what Rex was doing and to her suprise, he looked like he had just seen a ghost. "What happened?" Rose asked, truly concerned about him. "A-are y-you p-p-regnan-n-t?". She stood there staring at him. Trying to comprehend what he said.

What does this man take me for? Pregnant? Me? Pregnant? I think I'm capable enough to keep myself before marriage Rose thought to herself. "Are you?" he said. Now, he was looking crossed while she couldn't understand what was happening. " You think I'm pregnant?" she said

"There's no other valid reason as to why you're buying a pregnancy test kit? "

"What the -"

"We haven't done it yet so, tell me. Are. You. Pregnant?". He was clear with his speech and expressing his displeasure in every word he spoke. Rose was getting angrier and angrier by every word he spoke. "It's not for me.. It's for Mira" she answered in a very calm and polite tone. But deep down that calm response there was a monster ready to rampage.

"Who's paying for the kit" asked the pharmacist nonchalantly. The pharmacist couldn't care less about who these people were or what they were discussing. All he wanted was for them to pay him his money and for them to get out of his shop. "He's paying" Rose responded like a happy girl.

"Oh, so now I'm the one who's paying for this?" said Rex.

"Of course you are. You're the man who's taking me, the woman on a date. So, you have to pay for this."

"Even when it's not my baby? "

"It's not mine either! It's Mira's"

"You're maid's huh? What do I take me for?"

"Call her my maid one more time! I dare you! I'll show you today that you should not take people for granted. Especially me. Don't think that because I've doing all nice girl with you, you can just overstep your boundaries. I am not! Who you think I am!"

"So, who's going to pay now. " said the pharmacist. Then, she scrambled through her bag and brought out every piece of money she could find and threw in on the counter. "HERE! And keep the change." Then, she snatched the kit from the pharmacist's hand and stormed out of the shop angrily and started to walk down the alley to get to the palace.

Damon who was sitting in the car saw her walking ahead of the car but he didn't bother calling out to her or stopping her. She was his boss' responsibility after all.

Rex caught up with her and pulled her back. "And where do you think you're going? " he asked.

"Home obviously" He was pushing her to her limit but, he didn't know. She was trying her best not to do something drastic but, she didn't know how long she could hold on till the little strand of restraint she had left would slip through her hands.

Both Damon and the driver were watching as they were arguing hard on the street. They're only saving grace was that it was late at night and there wasn't anyone who was videoing them.

They stood there, arguing for over ten minutes and that was when Rex crossed the line and she gave him a hot slap while he stared at her in disbelief. "Trying telling that to your mother and let's see her reaction" she said as she mphed, turned around and stormed down the alley. Rex stood there, watching her walk down the alley. He didn't say anything because he was still in shock from the slap and when she was out of sight, he entered his car and said "Let's go home"

Once Rose was sure he wouldn't be able to see her from where he stood, she turned around and waited for him for five minutes in hope that he'd chase her but he didn't. "Chivalrous indeed" she whispered and turned around to head for the palace.
