Friendship?

I can't believe he just shut the door in my face like that. He can't just go back there and break up, well that. That's kind of gross. What if the murderer finds them first and kills my best friend. No, no I'm overthinking it. I'm sure Jenessa's fine, well more than fine from what we heard. I shuddered, yeah I'm not going back there ever. I'm just going to watch some TV and try to relax. It is pretty late.*yawns.* I laid down and flipped on the TV, within minutes of watching my show, I passed out. I must have been really tired.

I woke up that morning to the sound of knocking. I rolled over to find Jenessa sound asleep in her bed. Thank goodness she's okay but I'm so gonna kick her butt for ditching me to do who knows what before hooking up with the guy under the pier. The knocking started again and I called out, "I'm coming!" I opened the door and there stood Colt smirking, leaning against the door frame. As if he couldn't support his own body weight. I looked at the clock, it was 5 a.m. "Howdy sugarrr." He drawled out. "Colt it's early, what the hell do you want?" He moved from where he was leaning and sort of stumbled into me. Saying, "You, always you." It caught me off guard and there was no way I could support both of our body weights. We both went crashing to the floor, him on top. The wind was knocked out of me. I began gasping for air and trying to shove him off. He sat up some on his forearms. It took away most of the pressure. My legs were still trapped between his and he was still leaning over me. He reeked of alcohol and cigarettes. He stared into my eyes as I caught my breath and I found myself staring back for a little too long. We were like that for a good minute before he leaned closer. He was going to kiss me. Just as I was about to shove him away, he rolled off of me. He groaned. "I'm sorry Clare-bear. It was an accident. I just wanted to see if Jenessa was okay, yeah that was it. Nothing else, I'm going to go now." He said still lying on his back, arm over his eyes on the floor. I sat up and stared at him in confusion. "Or you could stay, have some water and we can just watch something on the television until Jenessa wakes up. Maybe you should also shower first I have some shirts that may fit you but you'll have to put the same pants on." He began laughing, like wholeheartedly full-out laughter. You would think Jenessa would wake up at the noise we were making but she was out late. That factor and this woman could sleep through just about anything.

He seemed to think it over for a bit. "You know your something else Clarissa but fuck it, let's do it." He headed into the bathroom and I sat back on the bed, leaning against the post. I turned on the TV and decided to put on a movie. I left it on the title screen and grabbed some snacks. Then I grabbed some drinks, some water for him, and a coke for me. Settling back again I waited for him to return from the shower. It wasn't until I began to drift off to sleep again, did he come in, shirtless. Right, I forgot to give him a shirt. "So what are we watching?" He flopped down on the bottom of the bed, completely ignoring the fact that I was bright red. I could feel the heat in my cheeks. "Umm...Ant-man vs Wasp but uh..don't you want to put on a shirt first." He laid down, flipping over on his stomach and laying his legs over mine at a certain angle. "Nope, I'm good." He said looking over his shoulder, smirking at me. He clearly was showing off and I was too embarrassed to argue. I simply threw a bag of chips at him and a water bottle. Then I started the movie. I was doing a pretty good job of paying attention to the movie until he changed positions. He turned around and laid his head in my lap as if we were that comfortable with each other. We were like halfway through the movie. I mean maybe he just sees me as a little sister. That's why he's so comfy just laying like that watching the movie. I on the other hand was having trouble focusing with this guy in my lap. He smelled like roses. He must have used Jenessa's body wash. I couldn't blame him, I liked it too. I used it myself from time to time. She wouldn't care. Part of me wanted to run my fingers through his hair. That and I didn't know if I had an interest in him or not. I was conflicted. Tyler was a great guy but here was Colt who's been there since day one of my and Jenessa's friendship. He was my best friend's brother for goodness sake. Wasn't there something in the friendship handbook that said you shouldn't date your friend's brother? Today was going to be a long day and it had only just started. Many crazy thoughts began racing through my head and then Jenessa began to stir.
