Gone

Ding Wu glanced at his fiancee and his features softened. He spoke to the eunuch briefly before the latter left.

Turning towards Song Yimu, he adored her pretty face. Her accessories and green dress matched his green robes. And her makeup made her look like a gentle princess.

'She really suits me better.'

"I'll take you to your residence." He smiled at her, caressing her cheek with his long fingers. "But first, I have to change my clothes."

"Yes, Your highness." She bowed her head demurely. A smile played on her lips.

Ding Wu stood from his seat but didn't head to his room immediately. Instead, he took Song Yimu's hand securely and brought her with him. Song Yimu was startled but pleased at the same time. If anything happens, such as someone catching them doing something, it would only speed up their wedding date.

Song Yimu was not proven wrong when Ding Wu closed the door behind them and lifted her up, laying her on his own bed.

One could say that if the woman was not willing, then the man wouldn't be this bold. Ding Wu was confident that Song Yimu really wanted him. Why else would she give him signals even when he was still engaged to her sister at that time? And instead of staying in their residence these days after what happened to their family, she'd rather spend her time with him instead? If she was that worried of being taken advantage of, she shouldn't have dismissed her own maidservant first. And if she didn't like to be intimate with him before their wedding vows, she shouldn't have teased him ceaselessly.

"Big brother Wu.." She moaned under him, her hands above her head. Her cheeks were flushed red and her heart thumped madly.

"Yimu.. you're so beautiful" He whispered to her ear, biting her earlobe. A hand undid her ribbon on the front. He felt her soft mounds against the palm of his hand. His hand travelled down her body, feeling her curves. Lifting her skirt, his hand went under and caressed her leg all the way to her thigh.

The girl below him squirmed as she felt each sensation. From his warm breath, his hot hands and the tingles she felt from his every touch.

He wasn't an expert in lovemaking as he was still young and didn't know the importance of giving pleasure to his partner. All the girls who wanted to have his favor by being intimate with him didn't dare ask to be pleasured as well. They only received what he gave and willingly gave whatever he demanded.

Of course, no sane woman would allow themselves to be used this way. Especially when their chastity is important in such a society.

Clearly, Song Yimu only thought of her end goal. To be the 5th Prince's wife. She used her beauty and body to gain this young man's favor. She spread word that her sister, the former fiancee of the 5th Prince, was ugly under her veil. She knew that her sister wouldn't refute it no matter what gossip was spread about her. So she easily destroyed her sister's image in the 5th Prince's eyes. At first, Ding Wu was still willing to take Song Jia as his wife since she was General Song's biological granddaughter. General Song has a big influence in their military forces, it would only be beneficial for him to form an alliance with them through marriage. His plan was to take Song Yimu as a side concubine, given that she was an adopted granddaughter only. But when he found out back at the Tranquility Conservatory that Song Jia was unable to cultivate, he decided then that he shouldn't have to take a waste as a wife. He was still thinking of how to give an explanation to the Emperor when he heard about the ambush and that Song Jia was in critical condition. Later on, word spread that Song Yimu is now the new fiancee. And today, it's clearly the heavens telling them that Song Jia was not meant to be with him.

Song Yimu went with the flow. Both of them drenched in sweat as their unclothed bodies merged. Ding Wu was initially planning to hold off a little but the beautiful girl was too enticing. With a scream, she lost her chastity. However the pain was only for a moment, soon they moved in sync as burrowed himself inside her.

Moments later, the servants were called and both of them headed to the Song Clan's residence followed by their servants and guards.

In the residence, Song Huo supervised the servants as they laid Song Jia's body in a coffin. Song Jia's maidservant, Lu Ping, dressed her in white, looking peaceful in the coffin. A talisman was placed inside to prevent cultivators from checking her status using their divine sense.

All the members of the Clan were already wearing mourning clothes. When the 5th Prince arrived with Song Yimu beside him, it was evident that most of the members of the Song Clan were still unable to accept his decision of dissolving his engagement with the Young Mistress Song Jia. Now that they were holding her funeral, there was no choice but to not make any more objections. However, they couldn't help but feel disappointed towards Song Yimu. Not only was she the adopted daughter who should have not coveted the biological daughter's fiance, she should have the decency to wait until Song Jia was finally laid to rest. Instead, she was already parading her relationship with the 5th prince.

Since Song Yimu was still wearing her green dress and only Ding Wu changed into black robes, she left with her maidservant and went to her courtyard.

She ordered her maidservant, Teng Bi, to prepare a bath for her. Teng Bi bowed her head the whole time she was serving her miss. But she was still able to see the traces of love bites. Her eyes went wide in surprise but suppressed herself from saying anything or else she might get punished.

While Song Yimu was cleaning herself, Teng Bi prepared her white mourning clothes.

Once finished, the two young girls went to the hall where the people assembled.

She saw people talking to the 5th prince and opted to stay on the side and sat obediently.

Ding Wu saw Song Jia's lifeless body, rolling his eyes when he saw that even in death, she still wore her veil. He wanted to lift the veil but was scared that he would be haunted later on.

General Song Qing and Song Huo wore sombre looks while the Second Wife Huang Dan kept howling. Even Song Yimu wiped her eyes with her white silk handkerchief. It was unknown however, if there were actually tears.

Once most of the people were dispersed and the Second Wife and Song Yimu went to their own courtyards, Song Huo called his niece's name.

"Jia'er. It's only us here."

Upon hearing his voice, she slowly opened her eyes.

Actually, the fake death pill was only used twice. Once, when they need people to know that she died. Second, when she was first brought to the altar. She observed her surroundings and took the revival pill once it was getting dangerous to be in that state. After that, she only regulated her pulse and breathing so as nobody would find out that she was actually alive.

Days passed, and she was finally brought to the cemetery. On the way there, a puppet came out from her interspatial ring and was placed in exchange for her in the coffin. She then wore a white mourning robe fit for a young man.

'Tsk. I can't wear this veil anymore in this getup. How would they believe I'm a guy, looking like this?'

Song Jia was troubled when she realized that everyone would be able to see her face. Although most of them would be preoccupied with the funeral, it would still be troublesome if she would be seen and they would interrogate her.

'If only I got my makeup stuff.' She sighed as she thought of the makeup she used to disguise herself back in her previous life as Luna, the genius assassin of Black Moon Organization. Before she died, her makeup kit was still neatly placed in her dresser. She only needed to contour her face to copy a boy's features.

Suddenly, a makeup sponge, contour stick, a concealer and foundation stick appeared on her hand, making her jolt in surprise.

'What the--? I only thought about it..And now, it's here..'

Shaking her head, she decided to investigate later and deal with the current situation first.

She used her makeup kit and transformed her face into that of a young boy's. She looked for any pockets in her robe to keep the makeup kit but couldn't find one.

She wondered if she could keep the things by doing what she did earlier before the things appeared.

Calming her mind, she thought of putting the things on her hand away and putting it back on the dresser. She was not proven wrong. The items disappeared from her hand.

'Ah? It's really gone..'
