Cave Dwelling

"Bro, wake up," sounds of voices circling Jonathan's head, "Dude you need to wake up now!" *Who is saying that?* he thought as he opened his eyes, he saw Clayden nudging him trying to wake him. Jonathan's eyes shot open as he tried standing up but fell, "Oh yeah forgot about my foot," he said looking at his foot lodged in the rocks, "Dude I heard footsteps outside," Clayden said as fear coursed through him. "There are no footsteps," Jonathan said, starting to laugh "BOOM!" his laughing stopped as heard big footsteps outside the cave, "That's no troll Mother," he said trying to remove his foot. Pain coursing through him he pulls on his leg, "AH SHIT!" he screamed, sweat dripping down his face mixed with some tears, "Dude don't push yourself," Clayden said, "No! I can do it," he continued to tug on his foot that wouldn't budge. "No, No, No I can't be stuck," he said, punching the ground making his fist drip in blood, streams of tears ran down his face as he stopped trying to get his foot unstuck. "Dude we have to get out of here," Clayden said, Jonathan didn't speak he just sat down running his finger through the sand, "Dude?" Clayden asked concerningly. "Didn't you hear the footsteps? We can't go anywhere," Jonathan responded, not looking back, "Well I do have a flashlight in my bag, we could go cave diving!" Clayden said, trying to excite Jonathan.

"We're gonna go cave diving, in a small ass cave?" Jonathan said sarcastically, Clayden just mimicked him behind his back and then stopped, "If you don't turn the hell around you dick," Clayden then said. "What did you say to me?" Jonathan said, turning around and seeing the cave go further down, "Hmm maybe the cave isn't small," he said, "But what about this?" he said pointing at his foot. "Oh that, just stop being a bitch," Clayden said as he stood there staring at Jonathan smiling, Jonathan aggravatedly looked at his foot and tugged. His foot still didn't move, he tugged harder causing him to scream in the pain, "Damn, you really are weak, probably why you're still single," Clayden said, creating a spark in Jonathan. He yanked his foot unlodging it and dislocated it, "ARGHH!" he grounded as he slung his foot back into the socket and felt around his foot, "Thank god, not broken," he said as he got up limping around to Clayden, "I get you were trying to get me motivated but don't do that, he said walking past Clayden. *But I wasn't motivating I was just talking shit* Clayden thought as they walked down the path of the cave.

"Gosh I'm worried," Kymani said as he paced around their camp, "My guy you sound hella gay right now," James said, raising one eyebrow. Trying to sound funny, Toby started laughing in the back. "Oh, I'm gay for worrying about my friends?" Kymani said aggravated, "Yes," James said with Toby agreeing, "I worried too but I know Jonathan is the Braun and Clayden's the brain, that's an unbeatable team," James said smirking at Kymani, "Yeah until the goth girl shows up and Jonathan submits," Kymani responded. "Yeah you're right," James said "but still don't worry too much," he said as Kymani just sighed and sat down. "We can't even fish without Jonathan," Kymani said, "The glazing is crazy, I know how to fish too you know," James said grabbing a fishing pole, Toby looked at him raising an eyebrow knowing that James only knew how to fish in freshwater, *Well I guess we aren't eating today* Toby thought as he looked into the woods hoping the others just ran out.

As they went down the cave the walls got more narrow, "Dude I'm hoping this doesn't go to that super slim cave diving shit," Jonathan said as he continued limping down the cave. "Nah I think it'll get bigger soon just wait," Clayden said with large amounts of confidence, "Are you sure?" Jonathan asks, "No," Clayden responds. As they continued walking the caves filled with the echoes of their voices, when they stopped talking they noticed whispers in the distance, "Oh well, maybe they didn't hear us," Jonathan said in a louder tone than they were talking in, "The hell is wrong with you?" Clayden asked, shaking his head. The whispers didn't stop and they only got louder as they approached the narrow point of the cave, "Yeah it's too narrow for me, I'm too swole," Jonathan said, throwing up his hands and walking away. Clayden grabbed him and pulled him back to the spot he was in and started heading in, "God I'm gonna die here," Jonathan said as he followed Clayden down the narrow path. After what felt like forever Clayden got to the end and the cave expanded, his eyes lightened up and his jaw dropped.

He looked into the large cave and saw crystals of all colors shining in the cave, a stream running through with weird plants growing on the bank, he looked into the stream and saw fish glowing. "This is beautiful," he said laughing while smiling in pure joy, Jonathan finally made it through the narrow bits and was in the larger part of the cave, "Eh I've seen better caves," he said as he walked over to Clayden who was admiring the cave. "Ok let's get out of here," Jonathan said, trying to find another path that might lead to the surface. While Clayden kept looking around, he started to hear things crawling around, bothered by this he went over to Jonathan who found another path that led up, "Dude I hear something," Clayden said, "I don't," Jonathan responded as he went down the path. Clayden followed shining his flashlight anywhere he heard a sound, "Dude don't be so paranoid," Jonathan said. Suddenly they heard screaming behind them, "Ok maybe do be paranoid," Jonathan quickly said as they kept going down the path but at a faster pace. The screams got closer and they heard the footsteps of running coming behind them, Clayden started to run but remembered Jonathan couldn't he looked back and went to go get him but was intercepted by a humanoid cave dweller. It was faceless like the one in the forest, Clayden ran the other way but was cornered by another, he looked over to Jonathan who got knocked out by them. "Yall just mad because yall ugly as fuck," Clayden said trying to punch them but didn't land a single punch. "SCREECH!" All the humanoids screamed making Clayden's ears ring, when he looked up one of them had a rock and swung. While both of the boys were knocked out the humanoids started to drag them deeper into the cave.
