Idea #3 (Sword Art Online)

This is an Sword Art Online story that is mashed with a similar concept to My Hero Academia.

The idea behind it is a Virtual Reality game that gives the user a random super power. It can be anything from growing and using your nose hair like Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo to superspeed like The Flash.

Everyone gets this super power right at the start from a lottery type system and everyone only gets a base ability. For example: you start with super strength as your power, but when you start it only increases your strength in your arms by 2.0x your ability tree has multiple paths to increasing the strength bonus in your arms or giving a strength bonus to other parts of your body like your legs. Each one is different and has their own unique build they can make.

Something that you can also use after they beat the game is that they might be able to keep a fraction of their powers if they survive to the end.

The lottery system may also have seemingly crappy abilities, but they should all have the same growth potential.
