Chapter 124: An Epic Filth

Just how strong is Garona?

That has always been a question mark.

This legendary assassin, who in the "future" will be notorious for killing King Llane, is still the half-orc who fights for her beloved human race. Simply put, her "small body" has caused the entire Horde to reject her, and no clan is willing to accept her, but the humans...especially Llane and Lothar have chosen to accept her.

This warms Garona's heart, who has lived a miserable life as a slave since childhood.

Perhaps out of gratitude, or maybe other emotions, Garona's behavior is very pure and straightforward.

With a light stomp of her foot, Garona's two curved bone daggers hang down like crescent moons from her hands. Before she made a move, she was ten meters away from Medivh.

For many mages, this is a safe distance where they can clearly see their opponents' every move.

But in the blink of an eye, the sharp blades of the daggers had already come within two centimeters above Medivh's neck.

[Shadowstep]

A rogue's unique skill, Garona easily passed through such a long distance, disappearing from the shadows, and reappearing from the shadows. When her daggers were approaching Medivh's vital points, Duke felt a chill in his heart.

He and Lothar were trash-talking with Medivh, who was possessed by Sargeras, just to attract his attention and give Garona the chance to deliver a fatal blow?

In order to cover Garona, Duke even preemptively used [Ice Block] and [Fireball], throwing a large fireball that was enough to blind the eyes in front of Medivh.

Duke pushed himself to the limit.

Even though Duke was not the one being attacked at the moment, he could clearly understand how fierce and dangerous this attack was.

There were no terrifying momentum that would cause the stars to shatter and the earth to collapse, nor was there any thunderous force. Garona's daggers were completely devoid of smoke, without the sharp sound of breaking wind, nor any trace of breath.

If you had to compare it to something, it would be a kind of almost animalistic "hunting" instinct.

Yes, Medivh was the prey, and Garona was the hunter.

With just this one blow, even though Duke was ten meters away, he felt a sense of inevitability that he would not be able to escape if he were in Medivh's place.

This is a real world, and perhaps Medivh is very powerful, but he is still just a mortal body. He can feel pain when injured, and he can die if his injuries are severe enough.

If Garona could really kill Medivh in an instant, then it would truly be a great event worth celebrating by all.

Unfortunately, there's no "if only"...

If time were a fast-forwarding film, then it was definitely frozen in this moment.

The air shouldn't have made any noise, but at the same moment Garona appeared behind Medivh, a strange "crackling" sound came from the air.

Duke, Lothar, and Garona all noticed that the previously disordered air in this workshop, which was illuminated by warm sunlight, suddenly solidified in less than one hundredth of a second.

This effect was completely an upgraded version of Duke's [Dasong's Tempering Frost Prison].

Under the vast magic of Medivh, all the water vapor in the workshop space was frozen into a white mist, which then turned into ice particles of varying sizes like sand, falling down like dust.

The twelve giant columns were covered in white frost in an instant, and every place in the workshop with standing water froze instantly. When water freezes, its volume expands, and the ice cubes from different places collided fiercely for limited space, followed by the sound of the ice breaking.

Duke's fireball and Lothar's charge were both interrupted by the cold wave that surged out of Medivh's body, and the two were almost thrown out. Garona, who was in the core area of the freezing, blinked and became an ice sculpture.

Not only Garona, but the space several meters in diameter around Medivh also solidified due to the cold air.

The frozen Garona was in a beautiful pose, with her left knee raised and her right leg straight, and her arms stretched out like a white crane about to spread its wings. She was just a little short of completing the final blow, stabbing the blade into Medivh's neck.

It was just that small difference that became an insurmountable gap.

Medivh turned around with a look of anger on his face, and looked back at Garona, who had become an ice sculpture with a resolute expression and no hesitation.

"You bastard!"

Lothar seemed a bit confused as to why Medivh was so angry. In Lothar's imagination, Garona was already dead. He believed that all it would take was for Medivh to smash the ice sculpture of Garona with his staff, and the beautiful half-orc woman, who he saw as innocent, would immediately perish.

Medivh did indeed strike the sculpture with his staff. A crack rapidly spread in all directions on the ice, and upon receiving this somewhat magical blow, something strange happened to Garona's body. It snaked from her agile frame, causing large and small chunks of ice to fall off her, as if a mask had broken. Accompanied by a loud "crack," when the shattered ripples reached Garona's entire body, she was already frozen to the point of being a bit disoriented and trembling as she tumbled out of the ice sculpture.

However, at the moment she saw Medivh's face, Garona's face was filled with an unwavering stubbornness.

Medivh hit Garona.

Yes, he hit her!

He hit her with his fist!

Medivh, a grand mage, actually hit Garona hard in front of Lothar, who was dumbfounded, and Duke, who was full of imagination.

"You bitch! You really wanted to kill me?" With a punch, a dark bruise immediately appeared on Garona's left cheek. Due to the green skin of the orc, it was not very obvious.

"Why can't I kill you?" Garona, who had temporarily lost her ability to move due to being frozen, asked stubbornly.

"You bitch! Have you not thought about who spared your life? Who let you, a fake messenger and assassin, live? You don't know how to be grateful and still want to kill me?" Medivh, perhaps still angry about Sargeras, hit her with another punch.

"Hmph! Being possessed by a weak male like you was my biggest shame!"

"Hold on a second! Something's not right here!" exclaimed Lothar.

In an instant, his facial muscles tensed up, frozen in shock.

And then Duke had a sudden realization - it was a secret he'd heard about in the "future" - the story of a savior named Med'an.

Med'an was one of the founders of the New Council of Tirisfal, who traveled the world to fight against the ancient gods invading Azeroth. It's worth mentioning that Med'an was a mixed-blood of four races - orc, draenei, human, and titan.

That's right! He was the child of Medivh and Garona.

Garona, once an assassin sent by Gul'dan to pose as an envoy and kill Medivh.

Medivh had killed all the orc assassins except for Garona. Then she was sent back to Gul'dan with a message, and Gul'dan sent her back to Medivh as a spy serving the interests of the orcs.

Medivh knew all about it, yet he still let her stay.

According to the official account of the game, it was two lonely souls who were attracted to each other.

How poetic...

But now, it seemed like there was nothing poetic about it. Someone had gone and ruined it with their foul language. Whether it was Medivh's or Sargeras's fault didn't matter anymore. What mattered was that this vulgar language had almost blinded Duke.

Hello everyone,

I'm here with an update. I am still planning to launch a premium option for those of you who wish to support my efforts.

What will this mean for everyone who doesn't have any money to show their support?

0 changes for those of you who wish to continue to show support through comments and stones. I will maintain the free release schedule of 15 chapters a week through the month of April. Meaning you will be getting a total of 60 free chapters for the month.

For those who will be wanting to support me with their hard-earned real money, I will be offering 4 tiers of access- 1 week, 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and 4 weeks worth of advanced chapters.

I will be launching my premium sometime EST April 3,2023.

I'm currently in the process of redoing my translations from the free tier of chapters that I will be releasing next month as I was not happy with their quality and wanted to have a consistent level of quality across all of my work for the upcoming month.

I had originally translated through chapter 282 but I was honestly getting a little overwhelmed with the number of manual edits I was having to make so I went back to the drawing board with the tools at my disposal, got on the latest versions of them, tweaked my process, and just got down to work. Chapters 190-250 have been completely redone and are good to go. Of the free chapters, I am currently sitting around 142ish and will be focusing my efforts to get those chapters ready before the week is over.

Once I get through that I am thinking of splitting my time between translating more new chapters and going back to update the existing earlier chapters to bring up their quality as well.

If you made it this far then thank you and have an awesome day :)
