34: Lore (James) (End of Chapter 1) *Merry Christmas*

Monday, December 25, 7 years before the sacrifice

James had woken up early, he wanted to make sure everything was ready.

"Bite out of the cookie, milk mostly drank, gifts under the tree, everything's ready!" James said to himself

"Why are you so excited?" Yumi asks

"We get to see Astrid's first reaction to Christmas," James replies

"How do you guys know about Christmas?" Yumi asks

"One of the heroes wished for us to celebrate it, it's the same with our calendar, one of the heroes had asked the king to change it," James says

"Why didn't I get a wish?" Yumi asks

"Well you only get it after you save the kingdom, and since you trapped yourself and the demon queen in a stone they couldn't ask you," James answers

"Lame," Yumi says

"What would you have wished for if you could have?" James asks

"I'm not sure, what would you wish for?" Yumi asks

James goes silent for a minute and shakes his head as if he was remembering memories he had wished to forget.

"I'd wish for them to stop kidnapping people and them to fix their own damn problems," James says in a monotone cold voice

Just then the sounds of footsteps can be heard. James turns around and sees Asher and Astrid walking into the living room.

"You guys sure took your time, but whatever let's get this party started!" James says in a cheery tone

"Talk about a 180," Yumi says in shock
