Chapter 10

Lion fetched her from where she stood and balanced the baby in one hand.He led Sunny onto a furry blue loveseat.His huge palm connecting with her bare back was least of her concern,she wanted her baby.

She hadn't even had the privilege of naming him.

"Leo..."She tried out the name and it sounded fine.But Lion would have atleast waited to confirm her son's name with her.

Leo batted his eyes open and focused his eyes on Sunny.His baby hair was all curls resembling Lion's highlighted ones.

"Hello baby.It's me ...mummy."Leo looked like he was assessing Sunny,for a short while then let out a wail loud enough to wake the dead.Sunny's heart broke , it's as if her own son didn't want her to be his mother.Or...could Lion have introduced him to another woman as his mom?

As a lump tightened around her throat,Sunny went for the natural way of calming a human siren; breastfeed.

"Hey little buddy,why are you so upset?"Lion's figure loomed above them.

"Don't breastfeed him,I'll get his bottle!"Lion warned when she slipped one hand off her hospital gown ready to breastfeed Leo.And what was left of Sunny's heart shattered into a million pieces.She couldn't breastfeed Leo because Lion didn't acknowledge her as his mother...Which meant Lion would probably let her go now... Without Leo, without her baby??No,she wouldn't allow that to happen.

"Here,"Lion handed Sunny Leo's warm bottle and was tutoring her on how to hold it when the door bursted open.

Sunny almost fled in the opposite direction the bits of her heart on overdrive.The past couple of months had taught her to always be on alert.

A woman Sunny vaguely recognized stood at the door, probably assessing the scene in front of her.

Sunny had one of her breast out pointing in the woman's direction,Lion was bent over her holding the feeding bottle over Sunny's hand and into now calm Leo.

"Ugh!I thought some crazed maniac was stealing the baby!"She heaved a curse holding up a pistol."Hi Sunny."

"She just woke up.I told her she can't breastfeed yet."Lion stepped away from the loveseat taking his warmth with him.

"Oh,yeah! You've been out for two weeks now so you'll need some help before breastfeeding Leo.And that's what I'm here for.I'll help you with that."

Oh,so Lion wasn't trying to shut her out of Leo's life?Sunny let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.For a while there she thought Lion was detaching her from her son when he said not to breastfeed him.

The little guy in her arms was now going back to sleep as he slowly emptied his bottle.His chubby and cute cheeks moved in and out as he sucked.Sunny couldn't get enough of him let alone believe she was holding her son.It was a miracle he survived all the trauma she went through.

"Anne,I'll leave you to do your job.I'll be in the gym if you need me."Sunny looked up startled.She became oblivious to the occupants in the room as she focused on Leo entirely.
