Chapter 33: "I like my best friend."
Prince Nikolai approached the snake. The snake was white and had no pigmentation. Its small, blue eyes were scanning the area. Its movement was smooth and fluid as it coiled the twigs, surveying the surroundings with its head raised slightly as if looking for the culprit who had disturbed its slumber.
When it saw Prince Nikolai, it softly hissed and flicked its tongue in and out, a delicate yet mesmerizing motion, before it slithered towards him. Rodion watched in a stupefied expression when the prince genuflected and reached down his arm. The snake willingly slithered around his arm then glided up to his shoulders and circled around his neck. The sight of it sent a shiver down his spine. The prince patted the snake on its tiny head and turned to face Rodion.
"He's safe, don't worry." He said in a slight amusement when he saw his expression.
Oh my god… Don't come any closer.
