It was believed that every individual had a unique 'resonance' with the nexus. The stronger the resonance, the greater the magical prowess. The Academy's primary role was to help its students understand and strengthen this resonance.

There were five primary streams of magic in Luminae:

Stellarkinesis: The manipulation of starlight and cosmic energy. It was the most common form and was used for a variety of tasks, from illumination to energy blasts.

Voidwalking: A rarer form, it allowed its wielders to create portals and traverse vast distances in a heartbeat or access the ethereal void realms.

Cosmoglyphs: These were runes and symbols drawn from ancient languages, enabling the caster to trap, amplify, or redirect magical energy.

Nebulae Manipulation: The ability to influence the gaseous clouds in space, which could be used for both creation (like forging weapons) and destruction.

Astral Empathy: A subtle art, it granted the ability to sense emotions, intentions, and sometimes even thoughts. Lila, with her profound sensitivity, was especially gifted in this.

During his deep dives into the archives, Tom discovered references to a forgotten aspect of magic: 'Nexus Mastery.' It was then that he remembered the enigmatic words of Moros during one of their early encounters: "Seek the Nexus, understand its heart, and you shall unlock your potential."

Lila, noticing Tom's intense study, joined him. As they delved deeper into the archives, they unearthed a reference to an ancient temple, 'The Sanctum of Echoes,' located in the heart of the Outer Fringes. It was said to be the physical embodiment of the cosmic nexus.

With newfound hope, the team set course for the Sanctum. Eldric and Caelum, equipped with their strategic and historical knowledge, devised a plan of approach. But they were venturing into uncharted territory, where the veil between magic and reality was thin.

As their ship approached the Sanctum, a vast temple made of iridescent material emerged, floating amidst a sea of stars. It pulsed with energy, and an ethereal melody echoed around them, the song of the nexus.
