10 Chapter 10

"It seems he had no mercy on the beauty in your group,I'm really sorry. And now can you even win without a system?" Kaiden teased Axel.

" If I secure a win,then we win the whole duel." Axel said looking straight at Kaiden. Before Axel could reposition his body,"Lightning strike" lightning was already on it's way to deal the damage which it did. Axel was stunned for about five seconds. In this few seconds,"Inferno" a fireball was headed right for Axel when he gained his composure back.

Axel thought fast and move to his right which also had a wind blade rushing at full speed towards him. He used his katana to block but with no energy and training he had become weak that the wind blade pushed him back. Axel landed on the floor with his heading hitting the floor.

"Sir,it seems he passed out. I don't think he can stand after getting hit by that." Kaiden was making the teacher noice what was going on.

*Back in past*

"Hey Axel,so etimes you have to make a beast think you're weak. When they charge in that's when you take he opportunity to slay them." Lord Akira was training with Axel at the time."Yes sir!" Axel shouted with joy. He had learnt a new trick,although not powerful enough with wrong timing. The plan could also backfire if the beast was that strong.

"To be able to trick the beast you need a very good timingamd speed. So I'll teach you the "Phantom Pace". Lord Akira said.

"Phantom Pace" was an extraordinary ability that allowed the user to move with incredible speed and agility, leaving behind only a faint afterimage or echo of their presence. When performed, the user's body seems to blur and distort, making them almost invisible as they move at phenomenal velocities.

No sound was made when someone moved using the "Phantom Pace" making it ideal for stealth and surprise attacks. Brief,ghostly images were left behind,creating a disorienting effects for observers if not a Platinagum or higher rank. The user's reflexes were heightened,enabling them to make sharp turns and quickly change direction. User's presence were fleeting,making it challenging to track down or trace of weaker.

"This skill can not be fully mastered unless your life has no end. Do you understand? There is no end to improving your speed." In two months Axel trained to hone his speed but this time it wasn't about being a genius he could never reach the speed of a Platinum rank whiles he is still a Gold ranked. Since his Kyokai levels were low compared to the Platinum ranks. He had to train his physical body to be able to reach a Platinum rank under certain conditions." Lord Akira pointed out to Axel.

"It's been two months since I taught you the "Phantom Pace" and I can see improvement. And I can see,you thought you could reach the speed of a Platinum rank but you couldn't. That should tell you everything has its limits." Lord Akira told Axel to alert him of the danger ahead.

*The current world"

In this new world,where Axel's evolution ended nature's rules were the same as the past. The Platinum ranked nimrods didn't need to buy cars because it was useless. Speed was all they needed to travel. An average Platinum ranked Nimrod could go faster than a car. So technically,only lower ranked no rods used the technology of transport for travels.

"Impossible,he vanished." Kaiden couldn't believe what was going on. Zarekion was the only one who could analyze the situation to see Axel using "Phantom Pace".

"Yes,this is impossible. A Bronze to Gold ranked nimrod can never use the "Phantom Pace". Actually it seems I'm the only who is able to read his movement since my speed is still higher than this. He is moving approximately Mach 33.2 that means about twenty two thousand miles per hour (22,000 mph). This is going to be impossible for Kaiden to win. It seems I underestimated him because he had no system." Zarekion couldn't utter a word due to his misjudgements.

In seconds that were created by speed. Seconds that could never be measured with a stopwatch,when all other students realized it. Axel stood gently behind Kaiden with his katana slightly above his head.

"!!DEATH!!"

That was all Kaiden's instinct were telling him. He was stuck in place with nowhere to dodge to. He passed out of fear. "Winner,Team Axel" Zarekion shouted to the other students hearing. "He defeated Kaiden who was so proud of himself with just his will to win. This boy is going to be something else." Zarekion.

A few seconds later Axel also fell to his knees and passed out.

"Yeah,I think that's the effect it had on him for overexerting himself with something more powerful." Zarekion thought. "What's going on? It seems every move I once knew are very hard for me to perform." Axel was thinking about the reason why he was getting dizzy all the time after every battle move.

"It's been three days since he assassins were sent out what happened?" Auguste had been worried since his specimen for experiment hadn't arrived yet. "Sorry sir,it seems they had to tail him for a while to see his strength" Sofia consoled him.

The school lessons were done and every students had already started heading home but Axel intentionally sent Taro and Astrid home,so that he could get his business done.

"Thorngage,can you please send me two ladies to walk me home today?" Axel was asking a favor he knew might not be given if not well convinced. "But Lord Axel, you're going to walk for over twenty four kilometers to get home. Isn't that going to be a problem." Thorngage had no power to stop Axel though, he still forced. "I was just getting dizzy to day so I thought about using the walk as a training." Axel had played his cards right.

" If that's the case,then alright Lord Axel." Thorngage replied. Before Axel could even hang up,two ladies of age about nineteen years were already behind. "That was fast. I feel like I'm going to fight some people on our way back home. If I had called for men they will never allow me to fight but I can force my way out when they are ladies." It was a perfect plan he chose to be able to fight,in case his hunch was correct.

"Let's go" Axel said as he started walking towards the road. "Yes,Lord Axel" both ladies responded in unison. Although Axel had met the stealth force in person,the ladies were less than the men but some ladies were still stronger and faster. That was the reason they could reach him before he even hang up. Heir speed was on a Platinum rank scale,that was about four times higher than the speed he displayed in the duel.

Whiles waling in the alley of some buildings,the ladies had noticed some other people watching them. The ladies were on guard but it seemed that Axel still hadn't noticed them yet until they attacked.

It was a fry swift one to abduct Axel and make a run for it. But now it seemed impossible with the ladies around.

With one swift hand attack a punch was coming for Axel from the front but since he hadn't noticed them yet. The punch was so fast that Axel only saw it when it was a few meters to hitting him but that fate was destroyed when one of the ladies jumped in and blocked it. "That was close,that was close." Axel had nothing else to say this was his first meeting with a more powerful person after his evolution.

He still don't know what his power was so he couldn't even decide to train or not. "Can you please allow me to use them as punching bags." He was just trying to repeat what Kaiden had said three days ago without knowing the true meaning. " Yes,Lord Axel " the lady who blocked the punch earlier couldn't defy an order even if their leader was literally begging for it. An order was ultimate that was what the ladies thought but the men were different that was one he reasons why Axel had recommended two ladies instead of one man.

When Axel soon realize what he said earlier meant he said earlier meant he was way stronger than them. The problem was already out of hand. "Um-um,I'm really sorry for what I just said." Axel was very quick to admit he did something bad but it was too late. The words he uttered had already found their way into the assassins heads.

"Huh,what did you say? It seems these brats are really getting cocky. I'll crush you."the assassins' leader was now furious. In a second,the assassins had spared him sometime and gave him five punches already though they were just getting started.

"What happened?" Thorngage asked the two ladies who went to pick Axel up with a very furious tone. "He accidentally picked a fight with some assassins who had come to abduct him and got beaten. I'm very sorry for using the accidentally." thelady who blocked the first punch earlier said with regret written all over her. " Weren't you there?" Thorngage asked.

"Yes master but he said he wanted to use them for training so we couldn't stop him."the lady replied. "That's why l wanted ladies to keep watch of the surroundings whiles the men escort him but he refused." Thorngage was thinking.

After mistakenly uttering those words to he assassins,they got pissed of and knocked Axel down bt weren't able to take him away since he ladies had beaten them up and left with Axel who had passed out again.

"Lord Axel you're awake." Thorngage was overjoyed just for him waking up unharmed. "Yeah Thorngage,can you now tell me about his system cases." Axel asked without second thought. " Yes Lord Axel."

"This generation's first person to awaken his Kyokai said he could hear someone talking to him and giving instructions on how his training was supposed to go and how he could use his power. After that every other nimrods who awakened in this generation started experiencing the same thing. Science wasn't able to understand the phenomenon that had occurred making awakened humans to gain that power.

A system was also detected in you right after the first person awakened his. But we later found out that you were actually the first person to awaken the system but your Kyokai had overloaded the system that it couldn't perform. We never understood why a system could be overloaded with just Kyokai.

So it was never said outside the boundaries of the house. This was for your safety since some people might think of using some of your energy to create other things that could cause destruction.

Master Lyrikson later found out that you'll need training for your system to slow adapt to your power since the system never actually behaved as scientists thought it would do. The system now evolved when nimrods used the power of he aetherstones to aid it upgrade and every aetherstone had it capabilities.

Now magicians could obtain skills from aetherstones and weaponry nimrods could upgrade their former skills they've created with the power of the aetherstones. That's all." Thorngage concluded his part of the story telling.

What was left now was for Axel to start his physical training before it was too late.
