A massive eruption of light and energy exploded from the point of contact, with the force of a supernova, painting the darkness with a riot of color. The blast was so powerful that it momentarily blinded the spectators and turned night into day on Starblossom III.
Caden was catapulted backward by the shockwave, his body a blur of purple energy against the luminous background. He crashed into one of the arena walls with a resounding boom, a cloud of dust and debris mushrooming outward from the point of impact.
The once smooth surface of the wall was now deeply cratered, a stark testament to the sheer force of Drexus's blow. Even the specialized mineral of the arena could only absorb so much of the residual energy, the rest had been transferred directly into Caden. He was embedded in the wall, the remains of his Void Saber slowly fading out as he tried to gather his senses.
