Chapter 41
Under drifting whipped-cream clouds, they kissed lazily and unhurriedly, over the remains of the picnic. Jason slid hands up under Colby’s shirt to find smooth skin, but stayed above the waist and casual. Colby had been brighter and more buoyant after the car revelation, but that didn’t mean the weather was a hundred percent in favor of testing comfort zones.
Colby got a bit surprised by this. “You normally, er, like my legs. And my backside.”
“I do. Just taking things slow.”
“You can touch me.” Colby drew a small happy face over Jason’s chest, over clinging green long-sleeved shirt-fabric, then pressed his palm against the spot, maybe just liking the feel of muscles. “I like you touching me.”
“Yep. And you feel good.” They’d been sitting on a low stone wall; Colby had gotten closer, tucked into Jason’s hold, during the kissing. “I can show you how much I like your legs.” He ran a hand along the closest thigh. “Still awesome.”
