He settled back into bed with Colby, after. Colby curled up into his arms instantly. They fit as if they always had and always would.
Colby said thoughtfully, “I’ll try calling tomorrow, I think. And then perhaps the day after, or the day after that, whenever he’s available that works with our schedule, you and I could go.”
Jason, keeping up, said, “That village with the awesome cheese name? How far is it, anyway?”
“New Cheese is entirelyan awesome name. I’d feel right at home. Oh…all right, I am hungry now. I wonder whether there’s something with cheese on a room service menu. Ah, a couple of hours by car, I think. Fairly remote, but not unreachable, assuming George is willing to see us.”
Us. Jason beamed. Understood what Colby’d meant about giddy toes. “Can I drive us?”
