The sunlight danced on her white sweater and on her soft hair strands, making her look extremely tender.
Gu Chen walked over and picked up the things that Ji Pianran had packed.
He said to her tenderly, "Wife, let's go, let's go home!"
Ji Pianran nodded, her eyes curving into crescents.
"Mhm, going home!"
Finally, they could go home. This would spare Gu Chen from the trouble of running back and forth.
How wonderful.
After briefly saying goodbye to everyone in the ward, the two of them went downstairs, got into the van, and headed in the direction of their home.
Walking behind Gu Chen all the way, Ji Pianran clasped her somewhat damp palms that were sweaty from the fever.
She looked up at the sky; the sunlight at past nine was bright but not blinding, and the air still carried the freshness of the morning.
The temperature didn't seem very high.
But she felt very hot.
