The Million-year Plan
"Your Highness, please be careful," Alieza said while staring at Aez who was standing at the gate of the city. She was the only one in the house who knew that Aez would be departing today. It is something they deliberately kept from the entire House Archea.
Aez merely gave her a smile before departing. Alieza could not help but sigh as she watched the silhouette of Aez disappear before her eyes.
'It's time to initiate The Rise of Aethernanos,' Aez thought as he reminisced about the past. He could not help but chuckle as he thought about what they had done in the past.
A million years ago, there was a force known as The White Lotus. It was an organization that Aez and his friends formed. The White Lotus dominated the field mostly due to the power that Aez and his friends had. It was an organization that functioned like a guild. They received requests then, they accomplished them. The difference is their efficiency. All requests given to them were done without exception which also caused them to offend just about every member of The World Force.
As their organization was rising to power, the majority of the members of The World Force vehemently opposed their existence. In the end, there was a vote to eliminate The White Lotus. Aez and his friends were not deaf. They immediately heard about the consensus made by The World Force. From here, they initiated a plan to contend with them.
In the billion-year recorded history of Cynosure, one could count on one hand the number of instances The World Force changed. From then until now, two chambers formed The World Force, the Black Chamber, and the White Chamber, representing emptiness and completion. Each chamber has consisted of 81 seats that trial and decide the fate of the world.
Aez knew that there was no way for them to destroy their enemies since their foundation had been weak. Therefore, they planned for Aez to die. This was the only way they thought of to destroy the existence of The White Lotus which they built themselves. Only by doing this would The World Force remove them from their eyes, thus letting their guards down against them.
They knew that there were too many rats in The White Lotus for it to continue to fight The World Force before, so they initiated the plan, 'The Rise of Aethernanos.'
It was to create a new group that would tear The World Force apart. However, this time, there would only be 6 individuals who will make up Aethernanos. The six of them who originally made The White Lotus.
Aez quietly walked for three months only stopping for rest and food. He took the safest road with the least people to ensure that he would encounter the least amount of danger.
After the three-month walk, Aez finally arrived at the shore. The Republic of Mesozo where they reside is a country made out of several islands, making it a large archipelago. After arriving, he looked at the sea with exhaustion and disdain and thought, 'Why did we plan our contact to be this way? Alas, so exhausting.'
Then, he sat down and drew Runes in the air. He was very slow in what he does despite his overwhelming Divinity. One had to know that the Divinity Aez has now, although pitifully small in comparison to what he had in the past is still significantly larger than most adventurers. However, despite this, he lacked Arcane. Unlike Divinity which is carried by consciousness, the Arcane resides within the body of an individual. Therefore, his Arcane is only at the level of the previous Aez.
Day by day, he drew and drew transparent Runes in the air. This was a level of Rune beyond that of what is disseminated in public. People who pass by looked at him as if he was crazy, drawing in the air like a child naive of life.
Just like that, four months passed by. Aez exhausted his Arcane every day to create a Glyph that looked like a crow. Finally, a Glyph that only he could see presented itself before his eyes. The still-sweaty Aez looked at the Glyph with his dim exhausted eyes with delight. Then, he took a deep breath before whispering, "Raven."
Just then, the space around Aez was isolated by a powerful Space Law, making it seem like nothing changes around him from those outside of the isolated space. Afterward, the space behind him cracked. From there, a peerless lady came out. Her long black hair complemented her deep black eyes. She wore a turtle-neck victorian styled black dress that covered her neck up to her ankles. The dress was mostly black with touches of violet that made the dress pop. Despite her body being fully covered, she exuded an intoxicating aura that came from her innate beauty and appeal.
Raven knelt behind Aez before saying, "My Liege."
The formal aura and tension created in the air quickly vanished after Aez turned around, broke out a big smile, and said, "Come on, Raven. Let's drop the formalities for now. It's been a million years! I missed you," before hugging Raven.
Raven hugged him tight as she desperately tried to hold back her tears which she failed to do so in the end. They did not speak, but they felt all the things they wanted to say to each other. They have known each other for so long and have gone through countless battles together that they knew each other like an open book. After a long while, Aez finally broke the hug and said, "I think it's unfair to everyone if we catch up here."
"Hahaha, I think so too," Raven replied with a chuckle.
Aez's demeanor immediately changed into that of an emperor which immediately caused Raven to kneel. Aez was far too weak to emit any force, much more something that would cause Raven to kneel, but his shift in demeanor was enough to do so.
"Assemble Aethernanos."
