chapter 43

Unknown regions

"Get ready. They're about to enter the system." The commander says as the entire group of ships gets ready for the arrival of this unknown fleet.

Moments later an armada of ships enter the system right in front them. There were various types of ships that they had never seen before, so they knew they were dealing with an unknown faction. The only logical reason for their arrival like this was because they might of seen them as hostiles or they were getting closer to one of their planets and might of been for security reasons.

The ships didn't outright attack them which was a good thing, but they didn't know if that would last forever. They could destroy their little expeditionary force with just their numbers alone.

"Open a channel with them. We cannot afford an incident with another faction right now."

"If negotiations with them don't succeed. Be prepared to fight for your survival. We don't have the force to deal with them in a fight head to head." The commander says hoping this could be dealt with peacefully.

As one of his officers tries to start communications with the unknown fleet. The commander looks at the fleet carefully. This was supposed to be just a simple scouting mission. They knew their enemies hadn't explored the unknown regions because of the dangerous environments that they held. But now that an advanced civilization was actually living here the entire time. A few theories was already going through his head about who these people were.

Once the officer starts communications with the fleet. A blue female wearing the attire of a what looks like fleet admiral was seen on screen. The most chilling part about her appearance was her red eyes that seemed to pierce right through his soul. It was like looking into the eyes of a demon.

"I am commander Samuel of the Terran expeditionary force. I apologize in advance if we entered your territory. We didn't think anyone lived beyond this region." He says hoping she wouldn't take this the wrong way if they did enter their territory.

The woman looks at the commander for a few seconds before turning her head at another species that looked just like her. It was another female, but she looked like a regular officer compared to the one that was up front.

They were talking in a different language that none of them had ever heard before, so they didn't know what they were saying.

While they were busy talking, the commander started to think their may have been a language barrier between them, but the only thing they could do for now, was to be on guard if they tried anything. They didn't know if they were planning something, but they couldn't be trigger happy. After finishing her conversation she looks back at the commander before speaking.

"I am Admiral Ar'alani of the Chiss Defense Fleet. We mean no harm on you unless you bring it upon yourselves for that to happen." She begins as the commander seems to drastically calm down.

"But that doesn't excuse you entering here. Your fleet was able to bypass most of our sensors with some of them not alerting us where you were until you were even closer to our territory. Were you deliberately avoiding them." She says in an authoritative voice.

The commander now understanding their situation now understood that they were only being cautious of them. If something like this was too happen directly on their territory they would have done the same thing.

"Like I said earlier. We didn't know that there was civilization out here." The commander says choosing his words carefully.

"And the reason why you probably didn't find us much faster, was because we don't use hyper lanes like you all do. We use slipspace and we were skipping throughout the region mapping it out for future use." He says.

The admirals red eyes seemed to shine a little hearing about the mention of their travel. Traveling through hyper lanes for them was a pain and only certain individuals of their kind had the ability to safely help them navigate through the region. If they had this means of travel. It would have made things for them so much easier.

"Hmmm. If what you say is true than that would explain how you was able to get pass out sensors. But I hope you understand that you will not be able to leave so easily.

"Because you entered so closely to one of our systems, it may prove a risk in our safety later." She says.

"And I understand that. The only thing I ask you not to do is search us or our ships. We have classified weapons and information and we will deem you a hostile if you try an attempt in trying to get them." The commander says warning her.

"And we understand as well. Our supreme admiral will arrive shortly to arrange further talks with you. Until than, I would suggest that you wait here and try not to escape." She says cutting the transmission.

The commander finished with the tense conversation breaths a sigh of relief for now. They weren't as aggressive like he thought they were, but he knew for sure they must have a temper if provoked enough.

What he didn't realize was that the admiral of this unknown race was planning something. Not to make them an enemy, but a potential ally. Her interest on them had went up once they talked about their way of travel. Although it might not have been a big deal like some would think. This way of travel could change the course of war and trade since their way of travel was completely different. But what really interested her was the weapons that they said was classified.

To them knowledge was their way of getting power and she was going to make a gamble that they had that knowledge to help them. She just needed to learn more about them before making her final decision on them.

Mygeeto

The three bridges that spanned out on the platform was starting to wear down more and more. Large holes had littered most of the bridges and some of the other ones around them were completely destroyed.

No one had gotten more control of the area and if they did, it was just a few meters that they had gained. The only difference was that the air power that the republic initially had was disappearing as the battle went on.

The weather on the planet had calmed down, so visibility for everyone was now better. Ground troops now had a better chance of escaping a air attack if they were lucky.

On the terrans side with the separatist. They were pushing them back hard. They were already suffering heavy losses from the republic from the start. But now they just couldn't afford it anymore. As they were making their last attempt in staying on the platform. The terrans were bringing warthogs and more tanks on them.

A group of three warthogs can be seen driving through the lines of droids as they run many of them over. As they continue this one of the droid tripods up ahead shoots and takes out one of them as the vehicle explodes.

"Fucking tripods." One of the drivers mumbles as he veers the vehicle from it's cannon.

"Hey! Thompson! Get ready to blow that thing to smithereens!" He says as he gets closer to the droid.

"I'm already on it." His passenger says as he holds a rocket launcher aiming it at the droid carefully before firing it only for the missile to fire downwards towards one of it's legs.

Once the projectile hits one of it's leg it falls to the ground with a loud bang, but was still trying to move. Using it's two remaining legs it tries to sweep them off the bridge, but with very little success.

"I said blow it up. Not amputate it." The driver says annoyed.

"I can't exactly control where the rocket goes if my driver swerves all over the place." The person with the rocket says as he loads another shot.

"Just shoot the god damned thing."

Shooting again the driver shoots it directly underneath it's turret exploding the droid in big pieces.

"Now that's more like it." The driver says before stopping the vehicle as he looks up.

The almost clear sky started to turn black as an enormous purple ship started to make it's way over the battlefield. Along with it numerous amounts of smaller ships were  making their way down towards the surface.

"It's the sanghelios. I didn't think they would bring their only cso-class supercarrier they had in this conflict." The gunner says a little surprised.

"Just be thankful their on our side." The driver says moving the vehicle again as a group of sanghelios drop ships fly overhead.

On the republics side the arrival of this large ship bad news for them and the Jedi that was in command over them was in even worse shape.

The terrans just didn't want to give up and the losses on his side was reaching the point of being the worst battle they had ever faced. But it was about to get even worse because up ahead on his front lines. An angry green Spartan was steadily making his way towards him as any clones getting in his way was swiftly killed in an instant.

The only thing that the Jedi could think once he spotted him from afar was that it was him. The person who had already killed a handful of the Jedi he knew. He didn't want to kill him, but bring him in and have him answer the crimes for killing numerous Jedi's.

Terran frigate

Waneta was currently sending parts of the information she gained to her superiors as she waited for her next mission to be given to her.

"You did well Waneta." A man says as they talk to each other on a widescreen.

"With this information. We could alter the way this war could move. More operations could be made. And we could see how the enemy ticks."

Waneta only nods her head waiting for what he was about to say next.

"I know you just finished a mission, but we have another task for you. We're still trying to get details about it, but you have a few days before it will be set in motion for you." He says getting her complete attention.

"And what exactly is this mission going to require me to do." Waneta says ready to get to it.

"Let's just say it may require you to see some old friends from the republic." He says leaning back a little waiting for her reaction.

Waneta seems to be frozen for a while before she looks at the man before nodding slowly.

"I understand." She simply says.

"Good. Because instead of fighting them. You'll be recruiting them."
