Ch5. Bat Demon

Seems like I found my limit in hunting the animals in this forest. I've been hunting and fishing in this region for about a week now. Using [Bat Impact], sometimes with [Flowing Blood] I killed off my unsuspecting prey, just one spell was more than enough to kill them.

After that, my diet has been changed from fruits and fish to meat. Wild boar, deer, rabbit, pheasant, small birds, and even monkeys. I somehow don't want to drink blood just like a Blood Demon in general. I let my bat summons drain the blood before cooking them.

In total, I collected 56 stacks on [Blood Ancestry] and 160 stacks on [Overflowing]. Increasing my Health by 560 and Mana by 800. It was at this time the creatures in this forest began to fear me as I'm undoubtedly the apex predator.

No matter how many traps I placed or how meticulously I hide from them, they would notice it somehow and avoid them. This has become quite annoying lately.

Maybe I should find a town ..., and then what? Kill another human?

Although, it is hard to see myself as a human because even my race in the status page has changed to Blood Demon after I collected 25 stacks on Blood Ancestry. Still in my heart, I'm a human being. A decent person who prefers to avoid any conflict unless it was unavoidable.

So no ..., I won't mindlessly massacre the human populace just to pursue more power.

About the race change. Apparently, after I become a Blood Demon my physique started to change. My body has become taller, leaner, and more muscular. My sense was also heightened. My skin also turned into that pale-white shade and my hair become lusher. Thank god that I don't have aversion to sunlight or garlic.

Update on my base ... I finished building the Storage Shed and Lumber Camp. Yeah, I still did that, the construction of my base I mean.

I transmigrated into this world with a Crafting System and the Enchanted Talisman. Although I had few complaints at first because this system isn't as powerful compared to others, after doing crafting and building for a while I found that it's quite fun and rewarding.

The Crafting System is also secretly OP when I think about it for a moment! Just imagine it, constructing a building that would take days or weeks is done in a matter of minutes. It would be really stupid of me if I don't utilize this system to the fullest.

I placed the Storage Shed directly next to my Wooden Shack. While the Lumber Camp is in the middle of a clearing inside the Forest.

My level raised up to Level 11 and I used the level-up bonus to increase my Stamina. With both [Overflow] and [Blood Ancestry] there's no need to increase my Health and Mana.

I can't wait to build my own Vampire Castle.

Lifting my <Stone Axe +4> I exclaimed, "Let's give our best today!"

After I become a Blood Demon, I've become quite fond of the nighttime. My body has become more adaptable to changes in temperature. I also gained night vision. The absence of the sun won't stop me from doing activities anymore.

And tonight ..., I decided to do some exploration.

Activating the [Grand Feast], I entered the humanoid bat mode and flew to the north. I can only maintain this state for 1 minute before the skill effect ended and entered the cooldown of 7 minutes and 20 seconds.

I saw some light source nearby the river, I approached it. There was a house, a simple house made of mud and straw. Something that is hardly seen in the modern era, even the poorest men in my country built their houses with brick and cement.

Anyway, I smell a human inside this house. My heightened sense as a Blood Demon sensed this distinct smell that I once had in the past.

Now how should I approach this ..., won't it be rude if I intrude on someone's house in the middle of the night like this?

Oh well ..., but why is this particular house standing here without anyone nearby? Is the one who lives here some kind of hermit?

I decided to not bother the owner of this house but I leave a mark on this place so I can easily find it later.

After walking through the hills and rivers like what my father said when he went out to school, I found a road. It's still a dirt road but it was wide enough for a car to fit in, it's relatively flat too.

Two more minutes were spent walking and I finally find a trace of humanity.

On a meadow nearby the forest, dozen of tents were erected. Men were outside circling a bonfire and drinking. They were like a group of men cosplaying ancient warriors. With those swords, spears, and bow lying about and armor as their attire.

I approached the tents silently by teleporting with my [Flowing Blood]. When I arrived there, aside from the laughter of the drunken guard and occasional horse neighing, I also heard ..., moans? Yeah, there seem to be women moaning and crying here and there in those tents.

I approached those tents silently but then I smell other people nearby and decided to go there. I then heard a rustling in the bush. I silently crept up and observed them from afar. A man and a woman. The girl was wearing a sleeveless top and a short skirt. While the man was tall wearing a hempen robe and a sword on his waist.

Even from this distance, I could hear they were talking. But I can't understand what were they saying. I was not Chinese ethnicities before and never learned Mandarin. I am only proficient in English as my third language, and maybe Japanese because of anime.

But after hearing it for the second time, I got a clear idea of what they were saying. Omnilingualism for the win, kudos to Ramiel who gave me this ability for free. I continue eavesdropping on their conversation.

Said the woman, and then comes the replies. "Don't worry! I'll have a way to deal with them." A confident statement said by the man.

"I know you will not abandon your friends to save your own life. I shall not force you. But I've given you such useful information, how are you going to thank me?" the woman replied with a coquettish tone and the man hugged her body while his hand roamed around her plump buttock.

I think I know where this will go. Yeah, not long after that ..., they fucked.

Like hell, it was damn too loud. I don't feel like awakening my fetish of voyeurism so I left them. Even after I moved 50 meters away I could still hear that girl's moan. Fuck! Humans and their desire to breed.

My mood plummeted after getting aroused by the female moaning voice but couldn't relieve it elsewhere.

Now that I'm full of destructive thoughts yet still hold on to my rationale which stated I won't kill them. Even though I don't want to ..., I want to kill someone.

But killing other people is bad, beta Japanese MC said so ..., I can kill those horses. Although maybe extremist vegetarians say otherwise, I don't really care. Buddhist and vegetable cult hasn't formed and spread in this era, maybe.

It's contradictory to my initial plan of having a slow life and avoiding conflicts. Killing their horses is like igniting conflicts with this merchant caravan. I teleported nearby the horses with [Flowing Blood] startling them awake. They neighed profusely after noticing my entrance, I activated [Grand Feast] and used the [Sanguine Claws] to concentrate them in one location and then [Bat Impact] four times to kill them in one go.

Hell broke loose, I watched as hundreds of the horses were running away, scattering, while those who were unfortunate could only froth their mouth and kick the grounds.

"Ha Ha Ha!"

Those horses were helpless in front of me. Ah, how I pity them.

"Enemy attack!"

"Intruder!"

"What the hell is that!?"

"M-monster!?"

The guards noticed the commotion and they alerted their friend to come out from their tents. Some of those were still topless while tying their pants on the way. Heh, but it's too late. I've already finished with my feast.

I smirked seeing those men who gawked seeing my shadowy figure in the dark. I leisurely walked through the dead horse collecting all the Blood Orbs. Then, I flew away and teleported ahead using [Flowing Blood].

There were at least 63 Blood Orbs added to my Blood Ancestry stack, and also added 108 stacks on Overflowing. I leveled up twice, it's getting harder to level up now after reaching level 10. I used all the bonus attribute points to raise my Physical Defense.

"Now ..., what did that woman say about some valley again?"

Tao Fang was one of the 12 servants of the "King of Livestock" of Handan, Master Wu. However, in all of his years serving his liege, never once he witnesses something as absurd as this.

It happened in just a blink of an eye. Without any notice and wind breeze, one-third of the horse that he just bought from his travel turned into an empty husk. Only bone and skin were left as if all of the blood were drained from their body. While the rest of the horses ran away in panic.

Most of his guards were trying to capture the panicking horse right now. While those who were unfortunate were tending their wound after the panicked horses kicked and stomped on their body.

"Li Shan, tell me what you see ..."

"Master Tao, I saw only a glimpse of the attacker. It was big, taller than Xiang Shaolong, and can fly ..., it also come with bats. Lots of bats!"

As incredulous as it might be, Tao Fang knows that Li Shan is a simple and honest man who did not dare to lie to him.

He was just having a good time with the pretty girl from the Baiyi Tribe in that forest when he suddenly heard a commotion from the camp. He hurriedly let out his seeds inside her and then went back to the camp while grumbling as his fun time got disturbed.

"Someone ..., or something has attacked and killed the horses. It looked like a large bat. Xiang Shaolong, where have you been when the attack happens?" Li Shan explained and then asked the newly recruited bodyguard.

"Nature calls."

"Damn it, you lot find whoever did this! We need to have some explanation or else Master Wu will take my head and yours! Human or not, I want that thing head delivered to me!" Tao Fang ordered with frustration on his face.
