2 Chapter 1-Arrival

[1998]

A spacepod was shuttling through different portals as they opened and closed one after another letting the pod travel between and through multiple realities.

The pod kept moving till it reached seemingly the last portal where it started to slow down. It went through the last portal and flew into a city and landed in a back alley.

The pod then broke apart revealing a sleeping child swaddled in purple cloth. The pod disassembled itself into nanobots of which many went into the body of the child while others made a dogtag around the child's neck. The remaining nanobots went inside the folded space inside the pendant on the child's neck.

Many people walked past the alley but when the nanobots sensed someone jumping from above it gave a small shock to the baby which made the child cry and the figure which landed in the alley to freeze. The figure slowly turned and approached the bundle of cloth in which the baby was wrapped and saw the crying child. She was slightly stunned by the cute child who had caramel skin,silvery white hair and brilliant amber eyes.

The figure who was a young lady in skin tight suit picked up the child and sighed,"Another victim of this rotten city."

She contemplated giving the child to the orphanage but decided against it as this beautiful child might just be sold off or booked to work as a prostitute as soon as the child grows a little or just drowned so as to not get involved in the trouble the child could bring.

"Oh well, I might just get a beautiful little sister."

As she picked up the child she noticed the dogtag and pendant.

The pendant was circular and had lines running across it making a strange shape. On the dogtag was written the name 'Nicholas Dunamis'.

"So your name is Nicki. Ok then I will raise you for some time and then you will have to survive on your own.

"Well then my name is Selina Kyle and for now you will be Nicki Kyle."

She changed out of her suit put on some regular clothes and walked out with the baby and went to buy milk powder.
