Chapter III: Student Demon

"...Why Rocks?" Kazue said. He was confused on this new skill. He only had appraisal, toughness, and wing movement. So it didn't make sense that he had a new one. He thought about a few things, "why was I out of the void", "Am I still dead?", "can I go back?" .Then he remembered Iwao. "Iwao. I'm getting out of here, and when I do, I'm going to murder you." Kazue stated. If I get strong enough, I may find a way out of here. If this is really like a system, then... Kazue looked at a bug. He used appraisal.

"Insect. EXP worth: 5. EXP to level up 0/1,000"

If you looked at Kazue, you'd see a pitch black face with hollow, blood red eyes. Right now they went to bright red and he grew a pointed mouth that was bright red and hollow. He killed it with his hands. As soon as he did, a notification screen appeared.

"CONGRATULATIONS! You have killed your first creature! 50 EXP bonus! First time creature was killed 100 EXP bonus!"

"Isn't that a little too overpowered?" Kazue thought. As soon as the thought appeared it halved the EXP changing from what he would have gotten, 155 EXP, to 80 EXP. Leaving the EXP from the kill alone. "He stared at he EXP screen for a minute with a blank expression. Then he hit his head on the tree he was near on purpose. "I'm a idiot." Kazue said. He then forgot it and started his hunting. "Wait a minute! I should try a few things. Maybe demons have Energy or some special abilities." Kazue thought. He used his fingers like a gun and concentrated on putting some energy into his finger and forcing it out all at once. When he did a energy was felt in his fingertips. Then he forced it all out. A shot of what looked like shadows flew out of his finger gun. It hit a tree and it turned into a pitch black version of itself. It removed its roots from the ground and the entire tree was coming at him. Kazue screamed and ran. "RUN! RUN! WHY DID I DO THAT?!?!" Kazue said in his head. He may have been a demon, but he was slower. The tree eventually touched him, and fell into him. Like the rocks. "What the hell am I?" Kazue said. A notification screen appears.

"New Unique Skill Created. Voidal Absorption created. Take anything and turn it into a skill. Takes 50 EXP away from user. Only user of The Void System can unleash. New Skill: Forestation! Create trees around user"

Kazue thought about the void. "What's the void system?" Kazue said. "User Kazue Ito cannot learn this information yet" The system responded. Kazue accepted this and went on a EXP grind. He killed 32 insects and one frog, awarding him 160 EXP from bugs and additional 75 EXP from a frog, giving a total of 235 EXP. After a while, he got tired and would try getting this amount of EXP everyday or for awhile.
