The fallen god's divinity.

The monster charged out of the ground, its arms swaying around while it gave out loud screams, its head almost touching the collapsing ceiling.

Ava, taking slow steps back was a bit surprised, she looked up at the monster, her grip tightening around the hilt of her blade.

'Is this… the Narukami?' Ava thought to herself while dodging the falling rocks.

"Ahaha!"

Ava's gaze turned to Hindra, who was still lying on the ground, just a few distance away from where the Narukami was.

"Hahahahaha!" Hindra laughs echoed, limbless on the ground, "How about now?! I didn't have to do this but you gave me no choice!!!".

Ava glared, "Am I supposed to feel threatened? I don't care if you summon some monster… I'm still killing you." She spoke, her sword now gleaming with magic energy.

"We'll see…we'll see about that! Come, Narukami, devour me!!!"

Instantly, the monster responded with a loud shriek, multiple of its arms pulled and curled around Hindra's body.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!"

Hindra screamed in agony, she could feel it, the touch of the monster draining every bit of magic in her body, her cells integrating and her skin melting.

And since she was merely borrowing the body, once the magic circuits had been destroyed, her body turned into a chunk of cells that was immediately absorbed by the monsters.

Ava watched as this happened, confused but always on edge, not letting her guard down for even a second.

After a few moments…

Something unexpected happened….

From within the Narukami came a figure, although naked, was covered in parts of the Narukami like torn fabrics.

Slowly, this figure slipped out of the body of the Narukami, one foot after the other until it was standing on its own.

She had white hair, perfectly sized bosoms, red glowing eyes, and two horns shooting out of her forehead.

And then, crimson threads danced around her body, forming into an outfit that glued to her very skin.

"That's…much better." The figure spoke with a smile, her eyes closed and her body gleaming with energy.

"Hindra?" Ava muttered out, her confusion about the whole thing evident.

"Yes.. sweetie… like what you see?" Hindra spoke with a smile. "I cannot disagree, I look especially beautiful in this new form, my breasts are even softer now, and oh do I feel even more powerful with my divinity running rampant within me".

"That's new, you've found a new vessel? Then why still chase after me?" Ava asked.

"Oh don't get it twisted, you alone remain my vessel and nothing is going to change that, this form… is something I didn't want until I had no choice." Hindra continued,

"The ways of a god cannot be grasped by mortals, but I guess I could enlighten you a bit.

Narukami is a creature made from my divinity and several other ancient beasts formed into one demi god that's hungry for magic.

In my case, since we gods don't use magic, it can't devour me, just now, it did absorbs my host because it is that of a human, but my divinity still remains,"

"…"

"And since my divinity is ever growing, all I needed to do was gather the chunks of meat from the human body, it's magic has been damaged and can't be repaired, making it a perfect toy for me to control, now, I've filled it with my divinity, and even though I can't get my authority back with a body like this, I sure as hell can last longer without is collapsing."

Ava stared at her for a while,

"So in other words, your divinity is equivalent to a human soul, it can't stay in a host with magic, and since I have your divinity passed down, you want to use me as a vessel?" She asked.

"Ding ding, correct?" Hindra replied.

"I don't really understand, but one thing is for sure… I'm still going to kill you, new host or not." Ava took a fighting pose, fire slowly dancing around her body.

"Good, it wouldn't be fun if you didn't fight back," Hindra said with a smile, both her arms stretched in front of her.

From behind her, multiple large crimson arrows began to form, a fiery blaze that was aimed at Ava.

"Try not to get killed." Hindra voiced out before sending the multiple arrows towards Ava.

Ava focused and ready, was prepared to counter, only for her to hear a voice from above her.

"Strike down my enemies… Yakomori."

Dark looking arrows sped past Ava from behind, each one intercepting Hindra's arrows before they could even get near Ava.

Shocked, both Ava and Hindra instantly looked up to see who had interrupted their battle midway.

".... You're kidding." Blurted Hindra as she looked up, to see a group of people, dressed in all black and their faces hidden under their hood.

They stood on the building's stairs, looking down at the event playing before them.

They were seven in number, the main members of the organization, the Pillars, and Haniel still holding her bow up being the one who shot at Hindra's attacks.

Memories from five years ago began flooding back, the images of her facility getting destroyed by the man in black.

The man in black.

Hindra instinctively leaped back, her feets sliding against the ground.

Ava, looked up only to see them too, her eyes widened a bit,

"The … Black Havens?" she also blurted out, having the same expression as Hindra.

From all she had heard about them, they were a group of people ripping the world apart, and their leader was a man known as Chaos and sometimes referred to as "The man in black".

But at the same time, she also knew them as the people who saved both her and her friend aether when they needed it.

"My name is Jeane, the one who protects, member of the Black Haven…" Jeane utterred, looking down at the two fighters, "Hindra, we would like to have a word with you".

"You… is your leader here?" Hindra asked, looking around nervously.

"No he is not, he wouldn't waste his time on something so trivial…" Jeane replied.

"I see… so you have come to deliver me to him personally?" Hindra asked with a grin.

"I ask that you submit… fallen god."

"To hell with you…. Narukami…. Rip them apart!!!." Hindra yelled.

With a powerful cry, the monster charged forward, speeding towards the Black Haven like a dog without any leash.

"Oh dear, is that the Narukami? Looks even more beautiful." Raphael utterred, snapping her fingers for her blood scythe to appear.

"Such a pain in the ass." Quilla leaped down, pulling out two pistols and immediately shooting the monster as she was landing.

"O'niel, take the princess away from here, I wouldn't want a friend of Lord Chaos getting hurt," Jeane gave her order, "Haniel and Azaryah, stay ontop, keeping everyone out, including the Higurashi group and the imperial soldiers."

Finally, Jeane looked at the monster Quilla was battling.

"I'll handle the monster, you two make sure you get the god, and do not kill her."

"Roger." Zakiel jumped down.

"I wouldn't underestimate it, remember, it was able to damage our lord, so be careful." Raphael gave her bit before following behind Zakiel.

With everyone gone, Jeane sighed,

"Lend me your strength… Master." With that she pulled out a lightning sword from her palm, and also leaped down from the roof.
