Legacies

Eisha remained still while she was being dragged into the building blindfolded. Unable to hold back a yawn.

She was tired and sleepy.

The vampire army took her to the transition space in the dungeon and locked her up in a room full of vervain plants.

Eisha admired their efforts. The doors were made of titanium, the strongest metal, and the bars of pure silver. Like the bracelet on her wrist.

She couldn't help but feel proud. At least she wasn't captured by a complete idiot.

The female vampire remained outside by the door looking in through the bars. She had a weird feeling about Eisha.

Of all the vampires they had captured, she was the strangest. For one, there was no ounce of fear in her eyes even though she was a prisoner. And second, was the fact that she could spot excitement in the young vampire.

Eisha threatened to end her and the order. The Order was the most powerful supernatural organization in the world. No other supernatural dares to cross them.

"Will you keep staring at me or do you have something to say?" Eisha gave her attention after seeing that the vampire wasn't leaving.

"When you are before the Legacies, keep your head down," she advised Eisha.

Her warning intrigued Eisha. She had never heard of the Legacies before and was most certainly curious about them.

"Who are the Legacies?" She raised the question at the vampire. "And why I am going before them?"

"They are the heads of the order. The descendants of the first vampire in existence, the most powerful vampires in the world," the vampire informed her.

Eisha craned her neck up to the bars, shocked by the news that she heard. The first vampire to exist was said to be very powerful and no known weapon could kill him.

Normal vampires were created from the line of ten that he had sired, that she was aware of. The original first vampire didn't want a lot of descendants so he only ever turned ten people.

The men were responsible for turning the rest of the population into vampires.

"You will be presented to them as you a new vampire who has been killed in the territory without permission. They will pass judgment on you," she added.

Eisha remained silent. She was still processing the fact that such powerful vampires existed in the world. Vampires that powerful could kill her, and that was bad.

She was losing her mind, if they saw fit that she had no duty to stay alive then they would end her life. For the first time since her capture, she panicked.

Her mind tried to come up with a way to get out of that situation. She had to get away before she met her end.

Her neck snapped to the bars. It was a long shot but she had to try.

She concentrated and locked eyes with the female vampire. She started deep in the girl's eyes for a long time. "Free me," she chanted internally over and over again.

She kept at it for a while, and the bracelet she wore broke and dropped to the ground. Eisha felt all her energy return to her.

"Free me," she demanded of the vampire.

The vampire's eyes turned blue marching hers and she opened the doors to the cell. Eisha smirked.

She took steady and confident steps out of the room. Unknown to her we were the eyes that were watching her every move.

She walked out of the room and run fast to find the exit out of the place to leave. Unaware of the powers working against her, she followed the paths tracing the way they could have come.

"She isn't weakened by vervain," a female voice whispered.

Eisha stopped in her tracks and scanned around. Her eyes caught no one present around but she was confident, she heard someone talk.

"She is weakened by pure silver," another voice whispered this time being male.

Eisha got back to her tracks and ran as fast as she could to get away. The place was starting to freak her out.

"Her eyes glow different from normal vampires. And she can compel another vampire," someone noted around her.

Eisha couldn't block their voices out of her. The more she ran, the louder the voices got. She placed her hands over her ears to block the voices, trying hard to stay sane.

"She can't faster than normal vampires and isn't affected by the...."

"Who is there?" Eisha roared turning around and stopping. "Show yourself and if I'm in a good mood, I'll answer your questions," she said.

'Right after I kill you all," she whispered under her breath.

The voices stopped. Yet Eisha couldn't shake the feeling that whoever those people were, they weren't gone.

She could feel it in her gut that they were there with her. They were driving her crazy, it was only fair that she returns the favor, but that required her to see her target.

"You have quite the tongue for a new vampire," the female voice that spoke earlier commented.

"Why don't you show yourself and ill show you how magical my tongue is at sucking every single drop of your blood from your body," Eisha threatened.

"Feisty, I like her," an amused male voice sounded around her.

The voices came out as an echo so it was hard for Eisha to point out where the person was precise.

"Who turned you girl?" A fierce commanding voice sounded. It was different from all the voices that had spoken earlier.

Eisha swallowed.

She hated being in the dark. At that moment, the people around her had the upper hand as they could see her. While neither could she see them nor could she catch a single scent in the air.

She was afraid.

"Nonek Starvenger," she gave up the name of the vampire that turned her to buy herself some time.

She waited to hear something from the crazy voices but nothing came.

It went quiet.
