{A/N: Varian is obviously going to be a Primaris Space Marine. However, I'm unsure of what Chapter he'll be a part of.
1. Ultramarines
2. Salamaders
3. Dark Angels
4. Raven Guard.
These are what I'm trying to decide on. I like the ultramarines. However, you sure the readers and I want you all to interact and enjoy the story. Therefore, I'll randomly pick 2 of you readers to become characters in the story.
Just add my original book, Shattered Realms: Regression of a Guardian Knight, to your library and comment "Starshine" whenever. Enjoy these three chapters you damn 40K fiends.}

Varian slowly regained consciousness on a bed in the infirmary, his body still echoing with the aftermath of his intense encounter with the Space Marine.
As he blinked the haze from his eyes, the Marine himself leaned in, his voice low and resonant. "You've shown remarkable fortitude, young Varian. Are you prepared to join our ranks as a Space Marine?"
With a determined nod, Varian confirmed, feeling a rush of satisfaction. His plans, audacious as they were, had unfolded perfectly.
Shortly after the Marine departed, an official chirurgeon entered the infirmary. He was a middle-aged man with a keen eye and steady hands, equipped with a portable diagnostic scanner.
He ran a swift, thorough examination to ensure that Varian hadn't sustained any serious injuries. To his surprise, Varian's muscles were already showing signs of rapid recovery.
"Remarkable resilience," the chirurgeon muttered, mostly to himself, before turning to Varian. "You're cleared for the next phase of testing. Let's check your genetic compatibility. If your resilience is any indication, I expect we'll see impressive results."
Varian followed the chirurgeon out of the infirmary to a massive, cylindrical device standing in the testing field. This scanner, resembling a high-tech sarcophagus, was lined with intricate patterns of lights and sensors. Its surface was cold, metallic, and imposing, designed to encase and scan a recruit fully.
Stepping inside, Varian felt a momentary claustrophobia as the hatch sealed him in. The machine hummed to life, needles deploying with surgical precision to extract tiny muscle tissue samples and perform deep scans.
Varian remained stoic, enduring the slight pricks and prods as the machine analyzed his genetic makeup.
Moments later, the results flashed on the external monitors for all to see—200% compatibility. The crowd around the scanner gasped and murmured in disbelief.
Camera flashes from data slates illuminated the area as everyone scrambled to document this unprecedented moment.
First his strength, now a gene compatibility rate that shattered all known records—the implications were staggering. The average compatibility rate hovered around 50%-80% for suitable candidates, but 200% was unheard of. The Space Marine, upon hearing the commotion, returned quickly to the scene.
After a brief consultation with the chirurgeon and several incredulous officials, he made a decision. "We'll escort you home to prepare for your departure. Tomorrow, I will personally transport you to our homeworld, where your training and transformation will begin."
Varian's journey back home was surreal. News of his record-setting compatibility spread rapidly, making him an instant legend within the recruitment center and beyond.
Upon arriving home, Aurelia was waiting, having already heard of Varian's extraordinary performance. Her expression was a complex tapestry of pride, worry, and resignation. They spent the evening in quiet conversation, playing a combat simulation that was of light effort.
"You're embarking on a path few can dream of, Varian," Aurelia said softly, her voice thick with emotion. "Remember who you are, and whatever the galaxy throws at you, never lose sight of your humanity. I never thought of myself getting attached to you, Varian.
You are my Exterminus, my weapon of destruction. However, my innate motherhood reminds of the deeds I've committed against my own flesh and blood, no matter the reason, you are my son. Remember that."
"I won't forget," Varian promised, with a simple nod. Varian could see that her eyes were more clear than her previous unfocused pupils back three months ago.
They talked late into the night, with Aurelia sharing stories and themselves laughing which is an extremely rare sight for her. These were a precious few hours of normalcy before his departure.

The morning was crisp, the first tendrils of dawn breaking across the skyline of the hive city as Varian stepped out of the residence.
Awaiting him was the Space Marine, his presence towering and implacable. With a solemn nod, he gestured for Varian to follow, leading him through the winding streets to the port where their transport awaited.
As they boarded the sleek, formidable-looking spaceship docked at the port, Varian was struck by the efficiency and quiet professionalism of the crew. Orders were given and followed with precision, the crew working in perfect synchrony to prepare for departure.
The engines thrummed to life, a deep, resonant sound that seemed to vibrate through Varian's very bones, and soon, they were ascending rapidly, cutting through the layers of the hive city and piercing the poisonous atmosphere that shrouded Cyclopean Prime.
Varian moved to a viewing port, his eyes widening as they cleared the haze. The planet below was revealed in all its majesty—a stunning orb of swirling blues and whites, continents wrapped in the embrace of vast oceans. The sight took his breath away; the sheer beauty of it was something no holopict could ever truly capture.
As the ship docked with a gigantic fleet vessel that loomed like a small city in space, Varian felt the gravity of his journey. This colossal ship would carry them out of the star system, to a world where Varian would be forged into a Space Marine.
Trasitioning from the smaller ship to the fleet vessel was seamless, the ingenuity of technology and human skill made Varian's eyes widen with fascination. He attempted to use King's Mantle on the ship or even certain parts but was met with a "Insufficient Warp Power".
He surmised that it was too much information to breakdown and dissect without sufficient power. And his brain power clearly wasn't enough.
Once aboard, Varian noticed that the vessel was abuzz with thousands of young recruits, children between the ages of 9 and 14, each likely feeling a mixture of excitement and apprehension similar to his own. The halls of the ship echoed with their quiet chatter and the clanking of military boots of the officials moving out doing tasks.
It wasn't long before a young boy, barely 12, approached him. The boy's expression was earnest, his eyes bright with the fervor of youth. "Hi, I'm John," he said, extending his hand with a firmness that belied his age.
The moment Varian shook John's hand, a flash of memory hit him.
'This little mofo looks like my old squad mate, Cambers, from when he was a kid. The resemblance is uncanny,' thinks Varian as an unbidden and genuine smile spread across Varian's face.
"Nice to meet you, John," Varian responded, his voice warm. "Looks like we're going to be Chaptermates."
John's eyes lit up. "I know. That's awesome! I heard about your strength tests. You're like a legend already amongst us recruits."
Varian laughed, the sound mingling with the hum of the ship's engines. "I don't know about legend, but I'm glad to be here. Let's stick together, alright?"
"Deal!" John agreed enthusiastically with his youthful energy.
As Varian walked through the corridors of the fleet ship, flanked by John and gradually joined by other curious recruits, he felt a surge of purpose and belonging.
His journey to becoming a Space Marine, filled with trials and challenges, was indeed escalating to a new level of promise and potential. Here, among stars and future comrades, Varian was not just training to be a defender of humanity; he was becoming part of a Brotherhood that spanned the galaxy.
Gazing out of a port window, Varian's thoughts were of the future and how he will spark a big change throughout the Imperium of Mankind.
'With me here, sh*ts definitely going to hit the fan!'
