Really...?

Amara rolled her eyes. "Yeah...whatever!"

The director, Mr. Ha-eun, interjected, "Hmm... would you like to see the details about your secret mission now, or would you like to check it out after you settle down in your room?"

Amara answered first, "We'll settle down first and look at it later." She smiled, trying to ease the tension.

Veronica, visibly tired, agreed. "Okay."

Ashley, however, was adamant. "Nah! I would like to see it now. Let the kids take a rest."

Veronica frowned. "We are not kids, miss."

Ashley ignored her, addressing the director directly. "Director Ha-eun, I want to check it out myself."

Amara, exhausted, added, "Yeah, why are you so excited? I'm literally so tired."

The director handed them the keys. "Here are the keys for your rooms. Ashley, you can only check it out for five minutes. You can come back another time with these girls."

Ashley nodded. "By the way, I need to check it out without anyone here. Hope you understand, sir."

The director raised an eyebrow. "Does that mean these girls can't come too?"

Ashley shrugged. "Nah, those kids can come."

Amara thought to herself, *Who said we were kids? So annoying.*

Veronica muttered, "Ugh, if we are kids, are you our babysitter or what?" She was clearly irritated.

Amara sighed, "Why is she acting so weird? I don't really understand."

Ashley glared at them. "Really? So childish. So, do you guys wanna come or rest like a baby?"

Amara threw up her hands. "What else can we do? Let's go!"

Veronica whispered, "Yeah, let's move, aunty." Amara stifled a laugh.

Ashley narrowed her eyes. "Really? So... childish..."

Amara urged them, "Uff, come on!"

Veronica sighed in relief as they reached the director's office. "Okay, finally we made it."

The director reminded them, "Only five minutes, remember."

Ashley rushed to his computer, pulling a pendrive from her pocket and inserting it. She started downloading all the information she could find. Veronica and Amara were shocked, recognizing that Ashley was hacking into the system. They knew that hacking a top-secured computer in five minutes was incredibly challenging.

They pretended not to notice, determined to get back at her for calling them children. They began going through the basic information of their mission.

Ashley suddenly pulled out the pendrive as the computer screen showed, "Data successfully downloaded to your pendrive." She slipped the pendrive back into her pocket, rushed over to Amara and Veronica, and snatched the papers from Veronica's hands, pretending to read them.

"Hey—" Veronica began, but the door suddenly opened.

The director stepped in. "Time's up, girls. Would you go out now? I have something to do."

Veronica nodded. "Yeah, sure, sir."

Ashley huffed. "Hmph."

Amara nudged them. "Come on, girls, let's move!"

Ashley kept reading the papers as Veronica dragged her out. Amara sighed in frustration.

Once outside, the director handed keys to Veronica and Amara. "Here are the keys to your rooms. Is there anything you girls need?"

Amara shook her head. "Nothing for now. We'll go rest first. When should we start our research?"

Ashley interrupted, "I need a laptop."

The director asked, "Which one will do?"

Amara jumped in, "Yo, even for me and Veronica, please!"

The director nodded. "Okay, I can give you two PCs and one laptop."

Ashley smirked. "I'll take the laptop. Let the kids use the matching PCs."

Amara rolled her eyes. "Whatever, I'm fine with anything."

Veronica agreed. "Yeah, same."

The girls then went to check out their room in the building. Veronica's eyes widened in disgust. "Oh my god, is this even a room? It looks so gross, so dirty."

Amara nodded in agreement. "So disgusting... how do they expect us to live here?"

Veronica sighed. "Argh, I guess we need to clean this up."

Ashley smirked. "This time you're right, kiddo."

Veronica turned to her. "You knew it was going to be like this?"

Ashley nodded. "Hmm."

Amara, feeling defeated, said, "First of all, I'm so tired. And now we have to clean? I really can't."

Veronica looked resigned. "We don't have any other choice but to clean. Ashley and Amara, we all need to do this together."

Amara grumbled, "Fine, whatever."

Ashley nonchalantly added, "You guys can clean. I'll skip because there will be a servant coming to clean."

Amara perked up. "And we are kiddos, right? So how can we clean? Let the servant come and clean. I will sleep for a while."

Ashley smiled. "That's why I said you guys can clean. There's already a person coming."

Amara sighed in relief. "Thank God! She saved us."

Veronica, confused, asked, "Who?"

Amara shrugged. "I don't know. Let's ask."

Ashley pointed out, "You mean that lady?"

Amara misunderstood. "Why say it like that? Please respect them."

Veronica added, "Yeah, don't show your attitude in front of elders."

Ashley tried to clarify, "Hey, I was just referring—"

Amara cut her off. "Fine, stop it."

Amara asked the servant to clean the room so they could adjust and rest. Then she and Veronica went out for some fresh air.

Meanwhile, Ashley climbed up to the rooftop, lay down for a while, and then returned to her room to sort out and clean up her bed. Amara and Veronica came back to their room after some time.

Amara asked, "By the way, Ashley, what did you download from the computer?"

Ashley replied nonchalantly, "You don't know? Your friend is a hacker; she should know."

Amara was taken aback. "Is she not your friend?"

Ashley scoffed. "Oh! Have I ever said she is my friend? If you guys acted like friends, you wouldn't be like this now."

Veronica bristled. "Huh, I would never accept you as my friend, not even in your dreams."

Ashley smirked. "Have I ever requested you to accept me as your 'friend'? And of course, you won't come in my dreams. Duh."

Amara tried to calm the situation. "If you would be nice to us, why would we act like this? Okay, let's not fight. Cool?"

Ashley retorted, "I always talk about facts. Aren't you guys younger than me?"

Veronica sighed. "Okay, fine, let's just stop and freshen up."

Amara agreed. "Yeah, please, let's stop arguing and wasting our time like this."

Veronica looked around. "By the way, where is the washroom?"

Ashley chuckled. "Did you come here to one of the oldest buildings and expect it to have water for your shower?"

Veronica groaned. "Do you mean there is no shower?"
