He Zhilan's tone was gentle. Even though she didn't say she was breaking up with Lin Chan, at least she didn't embarrass Gu En.

Gu En withdrew her hand, crossing her arms in front of her chest, and said, "You think I like worrying about you? It's only because my brother asked me to keep an eye on you! If I don't take care of you properly, my brother will come after me and I won't be able to explain myself!"

"Then, thank your brother for me." He Zhilan calmly responded, before arranging the gifts she had received that evening.

Lin Chan's brothers were truly out of the ordinary, hence the gifts they gave were all quite valuable. He Zhilan laughed at herself; if she ever really needed money, she might consider selling these gifts.

"Whatever!" Gu En rolled her eyes and ignored He Zhilan.

The afternoon classes were not intense, and He Zhilan decided to take a nap. Just as she was about to go to bed, the dormitory phone rang.

Only Gu En and Zhilan were in the dormitory at the moment. Gu En was on the lower bunk and lazily called out to He Zhilan, "You answer the phone!"

Gu En commanded in an impatient tone. She knew that whoever was looking for her wouldn't call the dormitory phone.

He Zhilan nodded and got off the bed. While walking towards the phone, she wondered who could be calling. As soon as she picked it up, she asked, "Hello, who are you looking for?"

On the other end of the line, He Teng, holding the receiver, paused, then replied, "I'm looking for you."

He Teng's voice had changed slightly over the phone, but He Zhilan immediately recognized him. She was taken aback, then couldn't help but smile and say, "Brother!"

"I received your letter. I'll write to you when I have time in the next few days."

He Zhilan nodded joyfully, then realizing that He Teng couldn't see her over the phone, quickly said, "Okay! Your matters are more important. You can write back to me whenever you have time!"

"There's another thing. Your school has a holiday for National Day. If you want, you can come visit the base and stay for a few days. Remember to call me before coming. The base will arrange for someone to pick you up from the train station." In the end, He Teng mysteriously added, "If you don't want to come, you don't have to."

"I want to go!" He Zhilan was really afraid that He Teng would change his mind. "Brother, I want to go! I'll call you before I go! That's it for now, I have class, I'll hang up first!"

After speaking, He Zhilan quickly hung up the phone. No doubt, she was afraid that if she continued to talk, He Teng would suddenly change his mind and tell her not to come.

After hanging up the phone, He Zhilan was ecstatic. Suddenly, she was eagerly looking forward to the coming of National Day! Seven days off, minus the time traveling there and back, means she could stay at the base for at least five days, spending five days with He Teng!

"Hey, He Zhilan! The man talking with my brother on the day of the opening ceremony, is he your brother?" Gu En, who had been sitting up for some time, was watching He Zhilan.

"Yes." He Zhilan nodded.

"Called He Teng? He's in the same base as my brother?" Gu En murmured to herself after finishing her sentence, "No wonder I thought your brother looked familiar when I saw him. It turns out he's someone I've seen a few times when I went to visit my brother's base. Just now, was it your brother who called? Did he invite you to visit the base over the National Day holiday?"
