3 Escape With The Model 1 Armour

The first original Iron Man Armor serves as the basic template from which every armour after it was built.

The Mark I armour was constructed entirely from recycled Stark Industries machine and weapon parts, in addition to any of the other limited resources at Stark's disposal while held captive.

Although not as advanced as future models, the armour is an extraordinary piece of technology put together in a dire situation and is a longstanding testament to Stark's extraordinary intelligence.

'I was able to make a better Mark 1 armour than that of the movies,' Tony smiled proudly looking at the armour in front of him

'I was able to make it less bulky, more streamlined and effective. It looks more like the Model 1 Armour from the comics version but...not as smooth.'

Tony nodded in satisfaction as he began to put on the armour with the help of Ho Yinsen who stood beside him.

In the guise of building a missile, Tony was able to create the model 1 armour that would allow me to be free from this cave.

There are around 40–50 terrorists who are armed and have state-of-the-art ammunition.

Therefore, the armour could not only help him exit the cave and safeguard himself but also retaliate against gunfire or any other assault from the terrorists.

There are lighting mechanisms to help navigate around the cave and also flame throwers that can shoot up to ten feet.

The Armour is bulletproof and grants me super strength although on a lower level.

"So we act today?" Ho Yinsen asked.

"Of course. Now help me set up, those guys will be here any minute now, after all, they have us on surveillance."

Tony steps into the setup while thinking.

'It takes me around 4 minutes to walk from the inside of the cave all the way to the exit. If soldiers run, it will take them around 2 minutes therefore the installation and setup of the contraption should not take more than 2–3 minutes.'

'Based on my calculations it seems it'll be faster.'

Just like that within two minutes Tony was fully clad in the Model 1 Armour.

He moved his arms around and did some other body movement to get a feel of it and nodded thoughtfully.

Even now, his mind was racing with countless ideas on how to make this much better.

He calculated that with the availability of the same materials he could make a better Mark 1 Armour and that too with a shorter time frame.

'My intelligence is currently one of my greatest assets, second only to my Meta-Knowledge of this world,' Stark nodded in satisfaction.

"Thabutak!"

A shout startled him out of his thoughts.

'As expected, they are here.'

"Alright, Yinsen the time has come. Remember to act according to the plan, okay!"

"Right, success Tony."

"What do you mean, we are leaving together."

"I know. But you are doing most of the work."

"Yeah, no time for chit-chat, let's go."

Yinsen acted immediately and turned off the lights as angry shouts were heard outside.

This time Tony made extra efforts to preserve Ho Yinsen's life and avoid having him die like in the comics.

He had already made an offer to Ho Yinsen to join him in his company and help build technology that would save lives instead.

Ho Yinsen readily agreed like he had found a new purpose in life. He felt that Stark had a change of mindset due to this event and he was quite happy to see it.

He wondered just was genius technology Tony Stark would design if he left his building of weapons.

Quite frankly, Yinsen looks forward to it.

With the plate armour he wore underneath his shirt to protect his vital organs, he will be more safe but there is still a lot of risk.

Hence Tony decided that he must act fast and a bit more ruthless if he wanted to quickly take down all threats ahead.

Just as Yinsen switched off the lights a group of gunmen barged into the cave and turned on their touch to search the cave while speaking Arabic.

As they continued their search one of them got close to the armour and looked at it curiously.

But once he got close enough, the armour moved grabbed him by the collar and quickly threw him to the wall.

*Bang!*

The man fired a few shots in the heat of the moment but it could not breach the armour's defence.

Immediately after a bunch of shots rang out in the place and all the armed men fired at Tony who was now simply an Iron Man.

Some of them even screamed in shock as they fired but Tony acted quickly and took out most of them in a minute.

The rest ran away in fear and he advanced after leaving a word to Yinsen who was at the corner.

The battle continued until he got outside. Unlike before, Yinsen stuck not too far from him as he navigated his way through.

He recalled that there was one guy who had probably killed Yinsen in the movie back in the cave.

And just as he thought of this, he heard Yinsen's shout.

"Watch out!"

Tony reacted quickly and immediately dodged to the side as the cave wall behind him exploded.

*BOOM!*

He turned and fired a missile at the man who shot him and...

*Boom!*

He dead.

Hastily he looked at Yinsen and heaved a sigh of relief seeing that he was safe and sound.

'I guess that means his death isn't a fixed point in time right?'

"Let's go Yinsen, we are close."

Yinsen nodded and Stark led the way forward and was prepared to face the full gang but as soon as he got out he was shocked.

'Black Widow?'
