Awakening

The gentle hum of the city-ship Atlantis filled the vast chamber as Alex stood before the Ancient's control chair, his heart pounding with anticipation. This was it, the moment he had been waiting for ever since he found himself inexplicably transported to this distant corner of the galaxy.

His name is Alex, and is not from this world. Well since he's in space currently it would be more accurate to say not from this universe. Somehow, he found himself thrust into the universe of Stargate SG-1, a world of advanced technology, ancient mysteries, and intergalactic adventures. But unlike the characters in the show, he possessed a unique advantage - knowledge of the plot and future.

As Alex settled into the chair, his mind raced with excitement and trepidation. Would activating the chair grant him the ancient knowledge he sought, or would it fry his brain like ancient repository was doing to O'Neill. There was only one way to find out.

'Surely it must be safe or I wouldn't been transported here, they could've also dropped me off at Earth or even worse at the ancient outpost on Earths Antartica.' Alex thought to himself.

With a deep breath, he reached out and placed his hands on the armrests, feeling the almost slimy stressball like texture of the handles of the chair beneath his fingertips. Closing his eyes, he focused his thoughts, willing the chair to reveal its secrets to him and start downloading them to his mind.

At first, there was nothing but darkness, a void that seemed to swallow me whole. Panic threatened to consume Alex, but he forced himself to remain calm, to trust in the process. And then, like a bolt of lightning, it hit him.

Images flashed before Alex's eyes, memories and knowledge flooding into his mind with overwhelming intensity. Alex saw the rise and fall of ancient civilizations, the birth of the Stargate network, and the secrets of the universe laid bare before him. It was exhilarating and terrifying all at once, like trying to drink from a firehose.

But amidst the chaos, one thing became clear - Alex now possessed the knowledge of the Ancients. He knew their technology, their history, and their greatest achievements. And with that knowledge came a sense of responsibility, a duty to use it wisely and protect this galaxy from those who would seek to harm it or its inhabitants.

As the visions began to fade, Alex opened his eyes to find himself still seated in the control chair, his hands trembling with the weight of what he had just experienced. But there was no time to dwell on it now. Alex heart was raising with both hope and fear. Now that he had all the knowledge he needed to make sure he wasn't dying like O'Nell in the show.

Standing from the chair, Alex made his way through the corridors of the Atlantis copy, his mind racing with possibilities. With his newfound knowledge, he could help the inhabitants of this galaxy, explore new worlds, and defend against any threats that might arise.

Heading towards the medical bay of the ship Alex used the ancient knowledge to start any and all scans of himself to make sure he was 100% healthy. The scans came back showing Alex that there were no problems with downloading an entire database into his head because apparently his physique and genetic makeup was the same of that as an ancient of old. Meaning he now had a much longer lifespan and the potential of Ascension.

After making sure he was fine for the time being Alex made his way to the command chair again. In the knowledge he downloaded he noticed that this is not a copy of the Atlantis city-ship as he thought but a different design. It still had it snowflake design with six piers sticking out and the towers were the same. The difference being that two piers was dedicated to shipbuilding and manufacturing, three piers for researching physics, society and engineering. The last pier was a drydock with an ancient Aurora-class ship docked to it.

Alex needed allies. People he could trust to help him navigate this brave new world and stand by his side in the face of danger. As much as he wants to controll everything himself he is only one person.

Alex sat in the control chair and sent the command to the manufacturing pier to start building him sentinels which he borrowed (stole) the design from the Halo games which he had been a fan of before he ended up here.
