Chapter 36: Morrigan

"I am sorry, beloved. I revealed your existence to the Tok'ra," Hathor apologized, cuddling into him after a long night.

"Don't worry about it. It was me who let her go," Harry replied nonchalantly, enjoying her curves against his muscular form.

"Was it really a good idea to let her go?" she asked, still worried.

"Oh, sure. If the Tok'ra don't agree to a deal, I will just visit them myself and get all their technology," Harry said with a grin. "You forgot that we know the most about Stargate and are able to track her through the Gate Network, no matter how many stops she makes in between. If she takes a ship, then so be it; there will be other opportunities. The chance is quite high that the Tok'ra will try to use this deal to lure me into a trap if they don't accept it."

Suddenly, Harry received a mental message: "Your Majesty, we received a message from the Gryffin. She just arrived on the planet and used the rings to land on it. There are three Ha'tak with her. What are your orders?"

"Sorry, Hathor, Morrigan has arrived on the planet we are monitoring. I need to leave," Harry said as he stood up and put his clothes on.

"I understand, beloved. Good luck in the coming battle," Hathor wished him as he mentally communicated with his Magi.

He ordered a large contingent of hundreds of Magi and a few thousand Jaffa from Hathor to prepare themselves in the Gate Room.

"Ready them; it's time to try them out." Harry ordered as he arrived at the gate facility.

His soldiers began to man the massive tanks and drove them into the gate room. His facility was specially designed for vehicles to drive to and enter the Stargate.

For now, he only had 15 tanks of the same class, since that project was still relatively new, and they were mostly recycling Goa'uld weapons for their armaments. These tanks were made out of the most durable alloy they knew that didn't require any advanced materials.

That alloy is a specific mix of titanium, steel, and osmium, which they call Titan Steel. The tanks are equipped with three modified staff cannons aiming in the same direction as the main weapon and two modified staff weapons on both sides recycled into a machine gun. These tanks were their first assault-class vehicles.

They were not hover tanks, but still ground vehicles designed to be able to cover most areas. They had small sensors, including life-sign sensors inbuilt, and a communication relay, allowing him to strengthen any communicator signals of his troops in case of disruption or something blocking them. It was powered by a small Naquadah generator that could be overloaded into self-destruction, able to take a whole city block or village with them.

"Dial the Gate, contact the Gryffin, and tell the ships to take out the Ha'tak as soon as the Gate activates. From there, they should take out any large concentration of enemy Jaffa from orbit while not aiming at Morrigan." He ordered as the gate began to dial, forming a wormhole on another planet. "Assault tanks, go! Create space around the gate! Infantry behind them!"

His troops began moving, the tanks leading the assault having more chance to survive the defenses around the gate, while the Jaffa were following them as expendable troops. Behind them were his elite Magus soldiers.

The goal of this campaign wasn't any resources or valuables. It was purely to capture the minor system, Lord Morrigan, and show his power to the Goa'uld Empire. Like his earlier attack on Camulus, he wanted to make himself known to the others.

But most importantly, Morrigan was a Goa'uld queen. Capturing her alive is the main target of the mission. She is one of the craftier and smarter Goa'ulds, building her power from the shadows. If the System Lord Heru'ur, son of Ra and Hathor, so kind of his stepson, hadn't used his power to conquer most of her domain, she would be one of the most powerful ones in the High Council of the System Lords.

Still, she didn't give up and kept building her power from the shadows. Amongst the minor System Lords, she was one of the most powerful ones, ready to strike once the opportunity arrives to take more power, joining the High Council.

Nothing of that was really of interest to Harry, besides the reputation he would gain amongst the Goa'uld. The only reason he was attacking her was that she was a Goa'uld queen. He was the only one whose location he knew. Capturing her was so important that he was going into the battle himself.

He wore right now his custom-designed battle armor, a sleek black design with an integrated personal shield generator and a few sensors. Stepping through the gate, he arrived at a bloody battle.

Even outpowered by the superior weapons of Harry's troops, the Jaffa of Morrigan are fighting fiercely. Knowing that failure would mean their death, they stormed into the battlefield, only to be massacred.

But this fierce defense was successful in slowing down Harry's army, as every meter was won through a lot of blood. Not that it would help anything; every way of this planet was cut off with Harry and his troops blocking the Stargate and three of his Morning Star Class vessels having destroyed the Ha'tak and are now locking down the airspace while monitoring Morrigan's position and taking big concentrations of Jaffa with orbital bombardment.

With this death trap for the troops of Morrigan, it didn't take too long for their fierce defense to weaken. The only thing keeping them alive was their big numbers, not that their strategy was completely unsuccessful. They still managed to take down three of his tanks and a few thousand Jaffa, including Hathor's former first Prime, who wasn't liking him much either way.

The fool was in every battle in the front, just because he was annoying Harry, and now he paid the price for it. In the army of the Empire, the Jaffa are expendable troops right now. The resources needed to turn them into Magus just weren't worth it. As long as they had a symbiote, they couldn't become one, and even if they did, they were the weakest ones. They have no immune system of their own, making them already have less potential than normal human slaves.

Right now, his empire has not even a proper governmental structure or an economic system; it was purely built on working for me, and you can become Magus while assigning tasks and commands to the slightly more talented ones.

His empire was only a loosely structured organization in temporary settlements with the goal of building a force and farming resources in preparation to establish themselves. There was not even a system for Jaffa in place to raise up and, through contribution, become a Magus; they are nothing more than cannon fodder right now.

The killing machinery that he called his army pushed through the defenses without stopping; soon they arrived at the last defensive position of their enemy, a small Goa'uld-style palace.

Breaking through the last few troops didn't take a lot of effort. Arriving in the throne room, his troops surrounded an angry, red-haired Goa'uld woman. "How dare you attack me? You will pay for this. The Goa'uld will not let this transgression pass!"

Harry made himself known, his eyes once again glowing like a Goa'uld. "Ah, you must be Morrigan. I was looking for you!"

Morrigan looked at him and suddenly froze as Harry had his hand stretched out at her. Suddenly, her body ripped apart, blood flowing everywhere as her symbiote was ripped out of her body in a gory mess.

Behind him, a safe container for her arrived. "Put her away and bring her to Terra Atlantus."
