Reunion

Dr Carter anxiously awaited the transmission from the asgard, when suddenly it came. The familiar light blue colored hologram transmission appeared before her. "It is a pleasure to meet you Dr Carter" The asgardian said. Carter, showing shock visibly on her face answered. "Thor?" She asked the Asgard. " In a way, yes Dr Carter. Let me explain. As our species came to the conclusion that our methods of reproduction had cause irreparable harm, the council had decided to clone our brightest individuals and send them on three ships into deep space to search for a possible cure to our problem. After many promising but ultimately failed discoveries we had exhausted almost all of our resources aboard our ships. I decided to set course for home when we receive an automated signal from our home planet alerting us to it's destruction. Desperate, we found the planet Hyperion that is nearby. We have slowly tried to rebuild our civilization far from home when we were suddenly attacked. The enemy ships bombarded our new planet, ignoring all peace offerings. Our ships were luckily docked in a small nearby moon base where we were at the time of the attack. Our sensors recorded the entire confrontation. Even our most advanced weapons and defenses were no match for this foe. We waited for the strange ships to leave, then searched our planet for survivors. We found very few left. Now our entire civilization is on these three ships. We detected a powerful but familiar energy source coming towards our system so we came out to investigate...We found you." He ended.

"What do we call you?" Carter asked him. " As you say you aren't Thor. So do you use another name?" The asgard put his hands out in front of himself, palms up. " You may call me Zeus." He said. " May I come aboard to discuss our situation with you and your people?" He asksd. Carter nodded. The blue holigram was gone replaced by the familiar deep hum and chiming sound of the Asgard beaming technology.

Before Carter stood 7 Asgardians. Zeus stepped forward and lightly bowed to Carter. " Thank you for allowing us to come aboard." He said. " I know we here are all copies of our original selves we do, however have all of our original incarnations memories. We as both pleased and surprised to once again greet our human friends from earth, especially so far out in the Galaxy."

Several hours later the 7 Asgardians and the staff of eldorado had all come together in eldorado's old council room, now used for meetings. Zeus had introduced the other Asgardians present as being what remained of their ruling council. They had formally requested the crew of eldorado allow them to stay aboard the city due to the fact that their ships were almost entirely depleted of resources. After discussing the situation Dr Carter had agreed to the Asgardians request and they had been busy beaming their people and equipment into the gateroom. Eldorado's personnel were assisting in quarters and workspaces for the Asgardians. The meeting was coming along well when the cities alarms once again rang out. Almost immediately the control room began paging Dr Carter. "I'll be right there." She said. Zeus had gotten up as well and followed her close behind.

Reaching the control room she was greeted by the sight of 2 distinctly alien ships slowing as they approached eldorado and the asgard ships. "Have we received any communications from the unknown ships?" She asked. " No Dr Carter, and those ships are showing massive energy readings as well." Dr Zalinka answered.
